More than one dog from the same household is ok. We have an in ground pool that unfortunately is off limits during play times. It is fenced and gated off. I do have a kiddie pool and dog splash pad I’d be happy to set up if requested or you can do so while here. The deck is blocked off so dogs outside and my dogs inside can’t see each other. Please do not remove blockage and keep you and your dogs off the deck, this will keep it less stressful for all involved.

Hi! And thanks for checking g us out. Ruby’s Retreat is in memory of our sweet baby Ruby and also her amazing brother Rocky. Both are the inspiration behind our spot. We now have Zoey and Jack who very much enjoy the trails and yard and are happy to welcome other friends to come play, explore, sniff and just be a dog in a safe environment.

Fully fenced in approximately two acres. We now have lighting for nighttime use. Approximately five times around the property perimeter equals a mile. We have chuck-it throws and balls, many toys, sand/digging areas, pools and agility equipment in a large, fenced area for you and your dog to romp around. Main entrance to the yard can be found by entering the second driveway and parking in the designated parking area in front of the solar barn. We do not plow that driveway in the winter as it’s just gravel. So, feel free to park at the bottom of my driveway and walk to the SS gate if you’re not comfortable using the SS driveway in the winter. We ask that you please adhere to our 24 hour notice when changing or canceling a reservation. We are always fully booked on weekends and most weekdays too. The front of the yard features a 6-foot privacy fence, while the rest is enclosed with a combination of 6-foot wood, chain link, and heavy-duty wire fencing. Watkins Woods Private Dog Park on Mt. Kearsarge
Fully fenced yard on Mt. Kearsarge in Warner, NH bordering Rollins State Park located at the historic property settled by the Watkins family in the early 1790’s. Abner Watkins was a founding father of Warner and a soldier in the Revolutionary War serving under Ebenezer Webster, father of Daniel. They fought in the Battles of Bennington and Saratoga and came back victorious. Abner with his wife Ruth and family retired up here on the mountain and is buried at the small cemetery down the road. Enjoy this peaceful spot surrounded by beautiful oak, maple, birch, pine & ash trees and let your dogs run, play and find sticks. I’m ok if they dig! That’s what dogs love to do! Plenty of shade and a new picnic table. Right next door is the Rollins State Park toll gate to go up Mt. Kearsarge and also access to miles of hiking trails. Fresh drinking water for the dogs!
