Description

Welcome to my SniffSpot! Thank you for considering my location for your next dog park visit. I offer approximately a half acre of open, flat, unobstructed, private and completely fenced green space. Great place to play long distance fetch! Or let your pup(s) get out the zoomies while you relax on the shaded beautiful bench swing or Adirondack chairs. Does your pup need to cool off after playing? No problem because two doggie pools are readily available along with a water bowl and garden hose. I provide a dog station with poop bags and trash can for your convenience. Is your pup stinky after a full day of play? As an “Extra” I provide a Dog Wash station stocked with a variety of shampoo/conditioner, face and body wipes, and of course doggie treats for afterwards! If you’re in a rush and can’t wait for your pup to dry off, that’s no problem! As another “Extra” you can also find a bag of clean towels that are always fresh and ready for usage, inside the box of supplies! Dog treats located inside the supply bin are for everyone! Even if your pup doesn’t take a bath, feel free to give them a treat! Need a cool drink, snack or a quick meal? No problem! My SniffSpot is walking distance from an ice cream shop, Pelican’s Snowballs, Subway, Mexican, and other restaurants. Please note that there is a youth soccer field adjacent to my yard but there is green space between the soccer field and my yard. So there won’t be any interference. If you enjoy watching soccer, or even some occasional white noise, this is a bonus! *I have ducks that live in a coop far off to the side of my yard. They are very calm, quiet, docile animals and you’d hardly know they were there! Please keep in mind that the coop is made with chicken wire and cannot withstand a curious dog trying to get in* Psst! Your pup said they want to visit my SniffSpot! 😉 See you soon! 🐾

In the spring/summer evenings the soccer field next to my house has practice and/or games at night but they are far enough away that it’s never caused issues with anyone’s pets! reactive or non reactive!

Is your dog dirty after a day of play?! Feel free to utilize my outdoor dog wash station to get your fur baby nice and fresh! At the station in the box you will find a variety of shampoo/ conditioners, dog paw washer, a comb, face and body wipes, and dog treats for after the bath! You should have everything you’d need for a perfect spa day!

I don’t really care where your dog goes potty💩 but if they poop in the gravel please use the shovel/ poop bags provided to clean it up! Digging isn’t the end of the world but I would prefer if you could try and keep your babies from digging for doggy bones🦴 I will always try and have the dog pool filled and fresh water out before each arrival but if you need the hose for any reason, feel free to use it. Just please remember to turn the water off when you’re done with it!

I’m Elana! I rescued my sweet boy Asher in May of 2024 from the SPCA, he was approx. 6 months old. He is an American Staffordshire Terrier Mix with a beautiful brindle coat! He came from a bad home that left him with a permanent double hip injury.. He is a big ball of energy and you’d never know he was injured if it wasn’t for him running funny🤣. Unfortunately, he cannot play as long or as rough as most doggies and would prefer going on a walk with me than being in the backyard. (he’s very much a companion dog😅) I have a nice sized flat yard that is very “park like” and would love nothing more than to be able to share it with other doggies that need a great place to run around, play, and even take a nice bath afterwards!

Our home is situated on a very private and beautiful (0.7 acre) lot which is largely surrounded by woods. The fully fenced backyard (0.3 acre) has plenty of room to run and also some interesting areas to sniff and explore. My family moved to Raleigh in 2022 and our first priority was to install a backyard fence for our 2 dogs (Ginger, staffordshire terrier and Cici, pit/lab mix). Sadly, in 2025 both senior dogs crossed the rainbow bridge. Lately our big empty backyard has been a painful reminder of that loss, so it truly brings me joy to have the privilege to open our space for other dogs. They deserve it!
