The fully fenced backyard (0.3 acre) has plenty of room to run and also some interesting areas to sniff and explore. My family moved to Raleigh in 2022 and our first priority was to install a backyard fence for our 2 dogs (Ginger, staffordshire terrier and Cici, pit/lab mix). Sadly, in 2025 both senior dogs crossed the rainbow bridge. Lately our big empty backyard has been a painful reminder of that loss, so it truly brings me joy to have the privilege to open our space for other dogs. They deserve it!

Fully fenced and partially shaded backyard in Northwest Greensboro near Highway 68 and 73 in a pretty quiet neighborhood. Close to Northwest Guilford Middle and High Schools, and Pearce Elementary. Gravel driveway with room for a few cars to park. Plenty of grass to run and play in. The yard has a gradual slope to it, not perfectly flat. There's a nice, big pavilion with a few camping chairs for people to sit in the shade, as well as, a couple of large trees to provide shade for doggie rest breaks. There are lots of sticks available for chewing or fetching. Host works from home and will stay inside unless help is requested! We're so happy to invite pet-owners and their dogs into our space and see them enjoy it as much as we do! Shelter volunteers are also welcome to bring shelter dogs for a "Dog Day Out"! Please read dog details for important info to note for potentially reactive dogs. The one plus acre field is the area where the dogs would play/run, there are also woods they can go into, they also have access to a pond about 3/4 acre, but this would need to be discussed at first visit so you take a look and see if it is acceptable. The whole area is fenced. Five acres in total. We do have five dogs, but they would be in the house when you are visiting with your dogs, you may hear them bark, but would not see them, a separate entrance to the field is available. No traffic near by.

Maintained with care, these trails provide a safe and engaging space for dogs to roam, sniff, and stretch their legs. Located within a small, artsy campground, the space has a rustic, creative feel, with upcycled structures and a relaxed atmosphere. Sniff Spot visitors are welcome to use the restroom facilities during their visit. For leash-less exploring, that's dog-dependent. There are cats near the big open field, and if your pup likes to chase cats, then we'd ask that you kept your dog on a leash for the safety of our not-terribly-athletic cat. :) On the trails should be fine, but please make sure they're leashed in the parking area. Please note that it is possible that the neighbors dogs could make an appearance. Unfortunately, we have no control over this. :( There's a good chance you'll see other people around the property while you're here. We run a campground for visitors to Asheville and also have folks who live on the property.

Feel free to let your pet run through the fenced yard and explore. The yard is mowed weekly and may have some bare spots and occasionally dog poop. We are not fancy. We love Mutts and all Wiggle Butts. Big or little, there is something for everyone. We are around a mile off Hwy 85 and Business 85. A bench, covered porch, seating, and cold bottles of water are always included as well as hot cocoa in the winter. There is a fire pit on site and add this to your reservation to roast some smores or toast your wiggle butt. There is a mini fridge on the back porch with water bottles for you and your fur friends during the summer and free hot cocoa in the winter. Plenty of parking. Please park where the owners can still access both carports.
