I am semi retired and live with my dog Roots. Our yard is located in Bandon Heights District just 1/2 block from Hwy 101. Directly across from Historical Wilson’s Market & Deli, voted Best of Oregon. Have lunch while dog plays and can see you at all times. Leave car and walk to downtown and enjoy shopping and our boardwalk after dog play. Yard is rustic park setting and my lab mix is always good for a rasal😊 She will be inside unless invited. I will add fun stuff as this journey unfolds. This exit features a gas station, Grocery Outlet, Tesla charging stations, McDonald’s, Tractor Supply (dog toys!), a donut shop, Dollar Tree, and more. This approximately one-acre park is fully fenced with brand new 5’ tall non-climb wire fencing. There are two gates for access: a walk-through gate if you choose to park on the wide gravel shoulder along the road, and a drive-through gate which allows you to bring your vehicle inside the park onto a large gravel parking area to unload your furry friends. Inside the park you will find a gently sloped grassy field with some nice flat areas also. There is a 12'x14' covered shelter to keep you out of the rain or hot sun. We have a real, vintage fire hydrant for your dog’s “enjoyment”. There is the 'King of the Spot': A climbing play area with ramps for your pups. Dogs only on the play feature please - not for humans to climb on. We also added 3 new resin benches around the spot for your enjoyment. Some rock wall terraces about 2’ to 3’ tall can be used for sitting, and for your larger breed dogs to jump up and down on. There are Adirondack chairs and a large wooden picnic table for the humans as well as the dogs (our Lab loves to jump up on top and take in the view). A water hydrant provides fresh water from our local municipal water source, Tri City Water, and you will find water pails for every size of dog. Nearby is a mailbox with doo doo bags, hand sanitizer, wet wipes, and paper towels. You will also find two wooden crates: one filled with an assortment of toys, and the other provides a nice stick library for your pooch to choose from. Please note: both gates open inwards into the park. Seven or eight months out of the year you will find green grass (and weeds), in the summer months it will be dry dormant grass. The park is always kept mowed (except for fire season) and there will be no tall grass or weedy areas. We do not spray any herbicides or pesticides of any kind inside the park or along the fence lines. This park does not share a fence line with any other properties and there is a wide perimeter around the park on three sides. The fourth side is along Crest Drive, a medium trafficked residential road. There are some neighboring small dogs along the back line that will say hello now and then, but there is a 80’ buffer between the fence lines on this side. We respect your privacy while using the park, and even though we would love to come over and play with every dog visitor and say hello to their humans, we will only meet you by specific request. Generally the park is available to book during daylight hours, but there is some flexibility for your special requests. There is a nice light right across the street that lights up much of the park nicely at night. If you choose to park your vehicle inside the park, please open the gate slowly so that it doesn’t swing against the post too quickly. Both gates have combination locks on them. USE THE TOP LINE ON THE LOCKS WITH THE RED MARKS for the code. The current code will be provided upon scheduling your visit. This is a non-smoking park. Alcoholic beverages and drug use are also not allowed in the park. Please do not play loud music in the park. 5 acres with green yard, wooded areas to explore, and a small field to run in! There are 3 dogs and farm animals across the street but don't ever come onto our property. We do have wild animals (birds, squirrels, turkeys, and more) and cows that share a fence line with us as well. We have chickens but they will be cooped up during the visit time.
