Description

Welcome to Raising Roots Farm! We just purchased this farm with big dreams to turn it into a community haven for years to come! Come bring your off lead trained pups to explore the farm before we move the livestock in, 10 acres of fenced pasture lead to the scenic overview of the Ohio River Valley. Follow the trail to the back of the property for your chance to spot some deer, turkey, or rabbits! The pastures are fenced with electric wire that is not in use as of yet (10/10/2024). Will update this posting once we’ve moved in livestock! For your dogs that need a more secure place to roam, our XL fenced back yard spot is perfect for our four legged friends who need some help to follow boundaries. 4ft chain link lines two sides and a wooden fence with gaps separates this yard from the pasture. Escape artist small-medium dogs WILL be able to escape this fence. As we get the farm established we’ll be adding flower fields and a food forest, as well as other furry farm friends! Our beloved Chicken Nugget is always available to pal around with other dog friendly pups if needed!

Hi! We are Chelsea and Thomas, proud new owners of Raising Roots Farm. 13.5 acres of heaven in Columbiana County. We are therapeutic foster parents, and homesteaders at heart! We just moved in in October and will be creating an ethereal getaway for kids who need a purpose in our community! We LOVE animals and plan to implement a service animal therapy program on site, but untill then we provide therapeutic living to the children we are entrusted with and are building them a sustainable homestead that will help them establish roots, learn valuable life skills, and allow them to be children in a world that is too harsh for them! Ethical animal care and regenerative and sustainable farming are the other parts of our mission and as we grow our farm we hope to continue expanding and adding more experiences for all of our friends of the farm! We own approximately 7 acres in Franklin Park that is mostly flat with some hills. Approximately 3 acres of flat pasture, and 4 acres of woods that circle the property and behind the home. There is a stream that flows through the property which borders the pasture entering the woods and a bridge to cross. Hills naturally fence in the property and will keep your pup safe. There is plenty of room for any dog, kids, and family to play! Feel free to use the hammock and garden table in the woods to relax. Also, your children are welcome to use our Club house/Swing Set, roller coaster, or pretend house at your own risk. If you enjoy our property and would like for your pup to experience it more and need boarding, I board as well! Please find me on Rover and book your pup's stay!
