55We had a great time! My 2 big dogs ran and chased balls while my foster dog got to roam and explore. Great location with no other dogs in sight and secure fence!
55Excellent space, well taken care of. Will definitely come here again!
55Awesome place!!! My dog is very reactive and this place was perfect, kind of tucked in the woods so there weren’t any distractions! Best place I’ve been to on sniff spots. Clean and an open place to let my pup sprint and play fetch to her hearts desire. Easy to find too. Thank y’all!
55Everything was great. She had fun things for the people and the dogs to do. The only negative thing was one of my dogs is scared of loud noises and the neighbor was shooting guns. We still had a blast though
55lovely
55I love that you drive your car through the gate and secure the gate then can just let your dog out of the car in the safety of the fenced area. There is a very comfortable area for the dog owners. And the price is very good. I will be returning there often.
55We were very excited to bring our dog Lola here. Her brother died recently so we are looking for new adventures to help her acclimate to being an only dog. The land is private, flat, and fully fenced. It was a great spot to work on training with limited distractions. The chairs and water bowls are a nice addition.
55Great open field with lots of toys to play with!
55Perfect for our dog who loves to fetch his favorite ball. So much room!! The gazebo in the center of the field with rocking chairs was a lovely place for the humans to enjoy being outside. We brought water but water was available there. We also brought our dog’s favorite ball, but noticed there were some toys there as well. There is a short drive down a dirt path to get to the spot but my Prius handled it nicely. No 4 wheel drive required. We will definitely be returning!!
55Lots of space and very well maintained. Lots of activities included for dogs and humans!

Description

10/2- there are trees down on the road and we will be there friday to remove them. Please feel free to park and walk in until then. This is a large private field that is tucked just a short distance from downtown Hendersonville one block from the Hendersonville Community Co-op and not far from Flat Rock! This spot Less than 10 minutes from Exit 53 on I-26! Making it the perfect place to stretch your legs before traveling on! It has everything you need: - Flat- though the ground is uneven - Drive in access so you can park inside the 12" gate into the fenced area with your pets and close the gate behind you - A custom built gazebo for shelter from the sun and rain - No drive by traffic - No people walking by - Full view of your pet while they run and play! - Games for people and dogs are already onsite! - However, Please remember extra water for you and your pets. I am passionate about helping dogs and this is my fourth Sniffspot and I will do all I can to make this one just as enjoyable for the responsible pet owners closer to Henderson County!

Cleanliness

98% of guests said this spot was as clean as expected during their visit.

Hazards

The drive to the site is one lane. Please do not arrive early or depart late or you may meet on the driveway and someone will have to back out. The ground is uneven. Please watch for holes and rocks. Fill dirt was used to raise the level of this spot and that makes it uneven but well packed.

11/23- We are back open! The field is ready and the trail to the beach has been cleared. I have been working hard to get this site running again for everyone to enjoy. Please realise the businesses around this park are still cleaning up. There is a security guard patrolling the area and keeping an eye on the buildings and my park. They are nice people and have my number if needed. Please enjoy the park again but be gentle in the area. 11/19- The site has been mowed and my dogs have spent several hours there at different times without illness or issue. We are hoping to open by the end of this coming weekend. 11/13 the fencing has been repaired, the gazebo is back in place and my dogs have been out there visiting without issue. We will be cutting the trail to the beach in the next two weeks then we will be ready to open. 9/28- heavy damage due to flooding. Closed until I can rebuild. Sites 1, 2, and 4 are open for your pups and your continued patronage would be a great help to me and this site. Access is possible to those sites. Thank you for your understanding. Have you ever wanted to run your dog on three football sized flat fields? This is your chance. Located behind UPM Raflatac in the cane creek industrial park this huge spot is the third one we have built. It’s been designed for complete privacy for you and your pets. No drive by traffic no people walking by, just you and your kids on 4 flat acres. It’s perfect for all ages of dogs and their humans because of the terrain! If you are up for an adventure, we have cut in a small trail to access Cane Creek. It is part of the same property but is NOT fenced in any way. If your pup enjoy off or on leash hikes, then feel free. The trail is outside the fenceing look for the silver gate across from the Gazbo. It is an out and back path with two small hills about a 3-5min walk in the woods. This area is not fenced. A picnic table, gazebo with swing, hammock and umbrella, are located here for lots of seating and shelter. Some toys are provided and even a game of horse shoes for humans! I think a Remote Control car or a drone, a mountain bike might be really fun to bring or even a Remote Control plane. This spot is actually part of the old Fletcher airport. All I want in life is to help people to have balanced dogs in their lives! Enjoy!

PLEASE BE CAREFUL OF BEARS! I have had a bear in the back yard a few times recently. They jump fences! If you need a better idea of where it is, it's within walking distance of the East Asheville Farmer's Market, Library, Fire Department, and Wells Fargo. I'm also close to Bull Mountain Rd. A few Announcements: While I make every effort to ensure that my roommate and other guests have cleaned up after their dogs, I have occasionally been informed that they have not. So I must now update the description accordingly. I welcome you to partake of my beautiful backyard in a peaceful neighborhood- as long as you are aware it is possible there is occasional dog poo. Also be advised that if you are extremely sensitive to poison ivy, be aware there may be some in some parts of the yard. If your dog is a curious sort, be aware that there is some yard equipment being stored under the deck and this area is open and not blocked off. I cannot anticipate every guest's need, but I am happy to offer my yard for a small fee to those who understand what is being offered. Thank you! Also, if you should happen to encounter my neighbor in the back left of the yard, please be advised he is unfortunately a little senile and has been known to be a nuissance to several of his neighbors. I don't want to scare you off, as we love our yard and will continue using our yard in the ways we see fit. If his (small) dogs come out while you are there, please be careful with your dogs, and please take anything he says with a grain of salt-, he unfortunately sometimes behaves like your classic grumpy old man. We apologize in advance for anything he says and are working on a solution. It may take some time for that to be implemented. Recommendations: 1) Please clean up after your dog. 2) If you book an evening time, be prepared with a flashlight, or know when the sun sets. I have outside lights, but I can't guarantee they will always be on, and they don't illuminate the whole yard. The space: A wide open space with rolling hills for your dogs to play, while you enjoy the view. *The sprinkler is actually a garden hose that is a "soaker" hose. It sprays water out of it like a sprinkler. There are plenty of sticks you can throw for the dog to fetch. (The location is 5 minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway, 5 minutes to Downtown Asheville, and close to the Folk Art Center. The newly renovated Haw Creek library and playground, Creekside Tavern, and High Five Coffee are just down the street. You can also walk to the Haw Creek Farmer's Market from here on Fridays, 3-6 pm. You can walk straight from to the Mountain to Sea trail from here without having to drive, and hike to Lunchbox rock (seen in pictures here.) I included the porch pictures so you could see the sunset. :) ) There is hand sanitizer, sunblock and bug spray under the stairs, under the side of the bottom step that you are welcome to use.i
