Description

Conveniently located off of 610 and Yale! Easy to get here from downtown, and a stones throw from Oak Forest/Garden Oaks. Come enjoy a fully fenced large space with tons of SHADE! We welcome all breeds here! There are lots of dog friendly restaurants in the area. Plan a day of fun for yourself and your furry besties! There is a Whole Foods down the street. Pick up some snacks and enjoy a light bite under the umbrellas. (Just make sure to read all rules, please!) We want you to have a a great and safe time here! There is a kiddie pool available for the pups, you may want to bring a towel to dry them off. There is a large dog cot as well.

Please park in front of the house, in the grass. Or across the street in the grass. Do not block my driveway, please. NO CAT CHASING! They will move out of the way. There are two feral cats that live here. Dogs must remain on leash until they are in the backyard with gate fully latched. Please return all dog toys to the yellow basket. There is mosquito spray and sun block available for use and a table and chairs. Feel free to adjust the umbrellas open or close. You may bring water/treats for your dogs amd snacks/nonalcoholic beverages for yourself. Please pick up any dropped food and dispose of off premises. No drugs allowed. Please use ashtray for cigarette butts. The water hose on the side of the house is available for you to replenish water dog water bowls only. No dogs playing in water with hose- no rinse offs. Trash: Please pick up your dog’s poop and dispose or in the red bucket with lid. Please take all human trash with you to dispose of later. If your dog is sick, do not book. Watch for signs of heat exhaustion! If your dog is overheated, use water (no ice cold water) and pour on dogs paws and take them home or to the vet if necessary. I recommend using dog shoes if they are used to them. Occasional grass stickers may be present. No DIGGING on property allowed. Most importantly, HAVE FUN WITH YOUR DOGS!

When you book "The Back 40" you have access to the original, smaller, The Mannerly Dog Sniffspot, so no one will be using it while you're here! You'll still have your own private dog park, just a bigger one. You will not see us or our dogs. One neighbor has chickens - they are catty-corner to The Back 40, in the rear. They are in a pen and may cluck or crow at times. the yard catty-corner on the other side occasionally has a couple of dogs in it, but it's pretty rare - it could happen though. You might see or hear humans on the other side of the wooden fence that runs the full 300 feet along the side of both Sniffspots. Otherwise, the area is serene and quiet with plenty of squirrels and birds. Sit and rest or play with your dog - either way, we hope you enjoy your visit!
