**Jan. 25, 2026** We experienced a tragic loss today when our Chicken coop burned down and we lost our 3 beloved chickens (Taco, Sparkles & Ice Cream). I have blocked off the calendar until Feb 28 for now but will be CLOSED until we can be sure to safely welcome our furry friends back to our yard. Thank you for your patience and understanding. (We will update more on our Facebook page so please keep checking there as well) ++++++++++++++++++++++++++ We are a dog loving home located on a large lot right off the Illinois Prairie Path in Lombard! Perfect spot for owners who already walk their companions on the path to stop and have some playtime or extra training time. Our favorite times of year to see our Newfie play outside are winter (he loves to catch snowballs, chase our kids and then lay in the cold snow)…and the summer when he lays in the cool grass and plops himself down in the kiddie pool. We hope your doggies will love to enjoy our yard just as much!

*IMPORTANT: Please contact us if you are wanting to book multiple dogs from different households or have more than 2 people coming with the dog(s)! This is for safety purposes AND to prevent too many people and/or dogs here at one time. While we love hosting, we also have neighbors and want to offer transparency and respect with how many dogs & people are expected to be present. *We currently have preferences set to 2hr Max time and limit of 4 dogs. However, we are open to changing those preferences per individual customer wishes. We just ask that you send a message so we can make sure it works well on our end as well. *please respect the chickens in their coop. We expect dogs to be curious and sniff around but if you have a dog that is very aggressive toward them please let us know so we can work something out to make your visit worthwhile.

Fall/Winter update: the yard is DARK after 5pm. Hose is off for winterization, so please bring water. Our 1/2 acre fully fenced dog-friendly yard is here to host your special furry friends. We live a short, straight-shot drive from Chicago and are butt-up against the beautiful Salt Creek (and all the wild life that also calls the creek "home" - bunnies, squirrels, groundhogs, birds, garden snakes (harmless, but present in May), etc.). The head of Salt Creek Trail is located just a block away on Thomas Street, so feel free to explore the creek/trail after your yard time. It leads all the way to Villa Park, where you can catch the Prairie Path / Great Western Trail. You'll pass by MORE Brewing Company as well as outdoor bar and food trucks Fuel and Creme (ice cream). Make a day of it! Please note that even though the yard IS fully fenced, it is comprised of a variety of sizes shapes ranging from 6 feet privacy, raw iron, to 4 foot chain-link, barn wood with chicken wire between the wood gaps. You know your dog's "flight risk" better than anyone, so please make smart decisions when booking our yard. Dispose of poop bags in the BLUE TOP bin (green is recycle). Finally, note that we can only host 2 dogs at a time due to wear and tear on the yard. Have fun!
