With open fields, old live oaks, and bayou views, it’s a perfect off-leash retreat for dogs who love nature. I’m excited to welcome you to your dog’s new favorite getaway! Tucked under tranquil oaks, our secure spot is a shaded retreat where pups can roam and humans can relax. Whether you’re tossing a ball, enjoying a cool drink, or lounging under the trees, this space is designed with joy and comfort in mind. ✨ Need a break? Add a Daytime Tent Nap to your visit—perfect for a shaded snooze with a cot or blanket, bottled water, bug netting, human & pup snacks, and more. 🌙 Feeling adventurous? Try our Overnight Tent Stay, from sundown to sunrise. Cozy up with glow sticks, lantern, blanket, cot chair, a cooler of ice-cold water, optional mist hose, and yes—indoor bathroom access. 💦 You’ll find thoughtful touches throughout: hand sanitizer, paper towels, toys, treats, and shady cushioned seating areas to rest and recharge. Just give 2-hour notice for tent extras so we can make it extra magical. And so much more awaits you!! Now Offering Doggy Daycare! 🐾 Need to run errands or head to work? We’ve got you covered! We have a sizeable half acre backyard for your dog(s) to enjoy privately which includes fresh drinking water, a water hose for bathing, a kiddie pool to play and keep cool, a tree swing for the humans to relax on, and much more. Enjoy scenic views, a wildflower meadow, stroll through the garden and under the trellis and maybe even spot a bald eagle or other birds. We have some really great extra available too! The Back 40

When you book "The Back 40" you have access to the original, smaller, The Mannerly Dog Sniffspot, so no one will be using it while you're here! You'll still have your own private dog park, just a bigger one. You will not see us or our dogs. One neighbor has chickens - they are catty-corner to The Back 40, in the rear. They are in a pen and may cluck or crow at times. the yard catty-corner on the other side occasionally has a couple of dogs in it, but it's pretty rare - it could happen though. You might see or hear humans on the other side of the wooden fence that runs the full 300 feet along the side of both Sniffspots. Otherwise, the area is serene and quiet with plenty of squirrels and birds. Sit and rest or play with your dog - either way, we hope you enjoy your visit!
