55Oh my gosh, the nicest host EVER and the best experience for my dogs and my friends dog!!! i have never seen them so happy- truly a dogs heaven!! and super good for photos too :)
55This is a great area for dogs to run and sniff. Every gate the pups came to they would stand and wait for us to open so they could explore more. yes, it is muddy, but was forwarned, so all good.
55Beautiful property with fencing that kept my little monster contained! As the owner stated, it does get a little muddy at the entrance, but my dog loves the mud, so she was happy!, and you can go to second pasture, and there is none. Did not see any other dogs or people and had some pretty views.
55Great easy to find and nice big open space safely secured
55Our first time back since spring! Always a delight as long as you come prepared for mud and ready for baths afterwards.
55Sniffspot was exactly as described, and easy to find with owner's posted directions. Gates to adjoining sections weren't tightly closed and my curious dog pushed right through, so pre-check gates if you definitely want your dog staying within one section.
55Happy New Year!
55This Sniffspot is definitely my dogs favorite!! They jump into big puddles, splashed water run all over the places. They found piece of woods and carry around. The entrance is very muddy and low land area as well. Recommends wear long rainboots and not funcy clothes, and bring coupke towels for doggies. The spot is easy to find and has the clear sign, so you won't miss the entrance. It's little bit far from our hoyse, but worth to drive. We cannot wait to come back again!!
55Our dogs had the time of their lives!
55We love bringing Benny here. This spot is so well kept up and there are decorations put up for every holiday. We will definitely keep coming back.

Usually there would be no livestock. However, right now, in early November, 2024, the grass is still growing (no frost yet!). I have cattle and sheep still grazing on a pasture northwest of the SniffSpot. I will change this description when I take them home for the winter.

Description

Available Oct 31-March31, these are seasonally available pastures, grazed during the warmer months. 15+ fully fenced grassy acres, including a pond. Acreage is divided into 3 areas, with gates open or closed to limit or expand running space. Higher areas are drier, puddles in the lower spots. Pastures are vacant through the winter months. Parking is along a private gravel dead-end road. There is a SniffSpot sign on the double green gate. There are occasional dog-walkers along the road, but otherwise the spot is private.

Cleanliness

94% of guests said this spot was as clean as expected during their visit.

Hazards

I have added drainage to the pastures, so there are now some narrow drainage trenches. There are bones, sticks and chunks of wood scattered about that my dogs have left. Your dogs are welcome to take them home, if they decide to possess one, or just settle down to chew.

I have had working dogs for 20 years, both herding dogs and livestock guardians. I currently have 1 elderly Border collie, 1 Border terrier for rats, and 7 purebred Kangal Dogs 🐕 to protect the livestock from predators. I breed Kangal Dogs and have a lo-o-ong waiting list. I hope to shorten that list in 2025 with two litters of pups, but we’ll see.
