Description

Washington Off-Leash Dog Park, located at 601 E 4th St in Washington, North Carolina, is a fully fenced enclosure with strict rules and regulations in place to ensure the safety of all visitors. Dog handlers are responsible for their pets at all times, with a maximum of 2 dogs per handler allowed. Children under 12 are not permitted in the off-leash area, and all dogs must have current vaccinations. Amenities include water for dogs and chairs for owners. Violators of the rules may be expelled from the park. OFF-Leash Park Rules and Regulations 1. Dog handlers are responsible for the actions of their dog(s) and must remain in fenced area with their dog in view at all times. 2. Users of this park assume all risks of injury to themselves and their dog(s). Enter at your own rI8k. The City of Washington will not be responsible for injury to any human or dogs. 3. Children under 12 are not permitted in the off-leash area. Those between ages 12-16 must be with an adult. 4. Maximum 2 dogs per handler. 5. Dog vaccinations must be current with current rabies tag visible at all times. Dog 1.D. tags must also be visible. 6. Dogs must be on leash when entering and leaving MAIN gate. 7. Choke collars, prong (pinch) and spike collars are prohibited. 8. Dogs in heat and dogs with contagious conditions are prohibited. Aggressive dogs are not permitted on dog perk premises. 10. Dogs must be removed at first sign of aggression. 11. All dog handlers must clean up dog waste, sealing it in plastic bags and disposing in “poop” receptacles provided. 12. Upon the request of a Police Officer or Animal Control Officer, dog handlers must provide proof of rabies shot and person's ID. 13. No food, smoking, bare feet or alcoholic beverages allowed on dog perk premises. Anyone violating these rules is subject to expulsion from the Park and can be banned from future use by Animal Control or the Washington Police Department.
