Welcome to our “back 40,” featuring an evergreen alcove, a small wooded walking path, lots of room to run, and tons of sticks to play with. For the humans we have a picnic table and two lounge chairs for relaxation. Special note for June and July: it’s mulberry season, and boy have we got ‘em (fortunately they are not toxic to dogs). Please note that our parking spot and part of our Sniffspot are covered by mulberry trees, so you *will* get berries on your shoes. Dress accordingly! 👍🏼

Enjoy a beautiful walk on a network of trails that traverse rolling hills in and out of the forest. At the back of the property, you will enjoy some of the best and most private scenery in Oakland County. As summer turns to fall there are a lot fewer bugs and beautiful color changes. Some trees are changing already. Please stay on the cleared paths on the West side and South portion of the property due to work being done on other sections. There are wooden arrow signs that help you navigate to the back of the property and back to the parking area. Thank you. (We are currently expanding and connecting the trails, as well as clearing the views to the lake and river, so watch for some nice additions in the future.)

Reach out with anything you need and I will make sure to provide the best I can for you and your pup! I hardly use the backyard at all except to add leaves or compost to the compost tumbler or occasionally to mow. That means it is all yours. This spot is definitely OPEN and no need to verify that with me beforehand. I will mark if it is occupied. Water spigot is outside of fenced area, on left side of house (viewed from street) near gas meter.
