We have a convenient location in Summit just off of Canyon Road near 512. Our backyard is fully fenced, with a play structure for kids and lots of shade in the summer, but plenty of sunshine too when it’s out. The backyard has a gentle slope that’s easy to navigate, we have comfortable chairs with cushions for hanging out. It’s a dead end street and is pretty quiet all together. The neighbors behind the tall cedar fence have two dogs that can sometimes be heard but not seen. Lots of people walk their dogs on leashes on the main road but it is not very visible from the backyard. We are located really close to an entrance to Orangegate Park with its newly paved and unpaved trails. You’re welcome to leave your car parked here if you’re going to enjoy some on leash time with your dog at Orangegate before or after your visit. We do not have any pets of our own but do have two little people on premises, please let me know if your dog is kid friendly. My kiddos are amazingly respectful, gentle and patient with dogs so would be great kids to introduce your dogs to if you’re trying to get them accustomed to kids.

This spot is a 1/2 acre rough pasture with a bench, fruit trees, a tree swing and woods surrounded by greenbelt. It is fully fenced and gated although if your dog is small and escape-minded it may do so because it is wire field fence, not board fence. Please park in front of the garage and keep your dog leashed until you reach the pasture area at the back of the property. Enjoy!

Pepper's Pasture in Gig Harbor

Beautiful sloped pasture with some woods at the lower end. 1.5 acres. If desired, you can drive right into the pasture and secure the gate behind you before letting your dog(s) loose. It changes by the season. In summer, the grass grows tall and you can enjoy the shade of alders in the lower portion. A seasonal creek runs through it in winter and spring. Your dog may find the scent of deer where they've bedded down at night, though it's unlikely that any will be present for your visit. You will see that I've planted and protected some fruit trees and native plants here and there. A sheltered area allows you to sit in the shade or out of the rain, and that's where you'll also find most amenities, such as toys and water. Access: There are two driveways onto the property. Use the north entry, with the "Pepper's Pasture" sign. After driving up that driveway, you'll see a "Sniffspot" sign on the gate into the pasture. Construction/site work: in spring of '25, you'll see that we are building beside the driveway that leads to the sniffspot. We have a giant hill leading down to a majority of our property. Then it's open grass field and some forested area with only one neighboring house visible. It's common to see deer, rabbits, and Eagles. People and dogs can get a great workout on the hill, or you can throw a ball from the top and leave the workout to the dog.
