Description
Dogs must be leashed before arriving and leaving the off-leash area. • Owners/handlers must carry one leash per dog at all times. • Dogs must be properly licensed, inoculated against rabies, and healthy. • No dog less than 4 months of age is permitted in the off-leash area. • Female dogs in heat are not permitted in the off-leash area. • Dogs must be placed according to size in the appropriate play area. • Aggressive and menacing behavior is not allowed under any circumstances. Any dog exhibiting aggressive behavior must be removed from the facility immediately. • Dogs must be in sight and under the control of the owner/handler at all times. • Owner/handler shall carry a suitable container and/or equipment for removal and disposal of dog feces. Dog feces shall be immediately removed and properly disposed of in the covered trashcans. • No more than 3 dogs per owner/handler are allowed in the facility at any one time. • No children under the age of 12 unless supervised by an adult. • The facility is open only during posted hours. • No activities unrelated to dogs are allowed in the off-leash area. PLEASE NOTE: • Each owner/handler shall accept responsibility for the actions of their dog(s) and is liable for any injury caused by a dog under their supervision. Users of the off-leash play area assumer the risk of injury or damage to themselves and their dog. • The City of West Sacramento does not guarantee that the off-leash play area is escapeproof. Country Serenity Private Dog Park In Woodland
Country Serenity is a 1/2 acre fully fenced non-irrigated pasture which is on our 20 acre farm. Please Note: During the months of May and early June, there are biting gnats in this portion of Yolo County, which are most active when weather is warm. Protect yourself with long sleeves, socks and repellant as needed. The spot is partially covered with medium bark to keep down the weeds and native grass. We will add more bark soon, howerver if you have a long haired dog or one with tender feet, I suggest you wait until the sticker season has passed. We mow often but given our rural location, foxtails, stickers and other nuisance weeds do exist, especially along the fence lines, as we do not use herbicides. Please come prepared for these conditions and gauge your risk tolerance for your pet. Risks may include foxtails, stickers, ticks, mosquitos, gnats, flies, uneven ground, mud. Hours of operation are generally 7:30 am-7:30 pm, but no lighting is provided so hours fluctuate with the dawn and dusk. Adjacent to the dog park is a barn with 2 friendly dwarf goats and some chickens. Enjoy the views of our olive orchard, a seasonal pond and 360 degree panorama of beautiful farmland right from the park. Please be aware that this is a working farm in an agricultural area so you may see and hear farm equipment and crop dusters in the vicinity. Let us know if you want to visit our farm store before or after your visit. We have our Gold Medal winning Frate Sole Olive oil and Copper Hill balsamic vinegar, local Woodland farmers like us. Update: As of early May the hot weather is turning the green grass dry quicker then expected. We are hopeful with some cooler days coming and some possible light rain that it will green up a bit. Recent picture are posted and I will do my best to update as the summer season continues. Fetch Field is an enclosed but wide open, natural field with plenty of room for your dogs to roam.
