Almost an acre of pastureland overlooking Jacoby Creek Valley for dogs to sniff, roam, play, and most of all be off leash and in nature. Come with your dog alone or bring some friends and dog pals (up to 6 total) to romp and chase and play while you relax. There are some toys and obstacles, water, and lots to dig. Please bring your own balls. There may be cattle in the adjoining field below, occasionally deer though rarely in the daytime. Chairs are set for a pastoral view, particularly lovely at sunset. People and cars may go by on the driveway. The spot is all yours when you are there and with respect to reactive dogs, I won't greet you unless we set that up in advance. I want the dogs to feel that this is their space and we won't intrude. If your plans change you can cancel or reschedule up to 2 hours prior to your reservation through the app but it does not allow changes after that. The new picnic table is meant for your use, please keep dogs with muddy paws off the table. Please no smoking or using while visiting. Enjoy!

This is a purpose built "dog run" exclusively for Sniffspot guests. This Sniffspot is truly unique and gorgeous, with lush 360 degree sweeping views of towering Redwoods and mowed Perennial Rye grass. In addition the "mirco climate" is more ideal with less fog and more blue sky days than downtown Eureka or Arcata. Not only will your dog enjoy this large open space, we're adding a seating area and shade awning to keep you comfortable during your visit (coming soon). This location is very ideal when visiting the Headwaters Forest Reserve just one minute up the road! Some guests like to come first to exercise their dogs before taking them on leash into Headwaters. Our Sniffspot is located on a quiet dead end in the back of Montara, CA. It is fully fenced. It contains 2 fields, a lower and upper, both suitable for use. I will have agility courses set up a portion of the time. Please do not move equipment if there is a numbered course set up. You are free to use tunnels and jumps, but please be careful on the contact obstacles if they are set up. Please watch your dogs and do not allow them to mark the obstacles, tunnels, jumps or weave poles. If they do, can you kindly rinse with the watering can. Do not place any human items or treats on the dog walk. Do not rest or lean on the dog walk. It is an expensive piece of equipment, not a table. Note: there are chickens and horses next door at times, please do not allow your dogs to bark or charge the fence at them. Also, do not let your dogs repeatedly run up to the horses if they are near the fence, and potentially scare them. They are not as visible from the lower field. I have an older dog that sometimes barks from inside the house but she is not visible. Thanks for exploring our Sniffspot!

We offer a beautiful back yard with a pool and good running space. Feel free to dip your toes. The pool has two cabo shelves. Small cabo shelf is 6 inches deep and the bigger shelf is about 18 inches deep. There is an extra fee for humans to swim. Please no diving or jumping in pool allowed by humans. Pool is shallow. Welcome! This is a great spot if you want to park close to where your dog plays- it’s just on the other side of the fence. We live in a safe, quiet area and our yard is well lit at night - perfect for dog visitors later in the evening. We have lots of dog toys, fresh water , comfortable seating for humans - a great place to chill for an hour while your dogs get their sniffs on! Please remember not to go into the playhouse , as there are probably spiders or other critters. We are 25 miles from Westlake Village and 46 miles from the San Fernando Valley. We offer: • individual reserved appointments for a private visit • a rustic space to enjoy on-leash or off-leash. Please, if your dog is at all aggressive, please keep on leash. • I will meet you there for your first visit. After that they will be contact-less visits. • explore approximately 40-acres of rolling hills, dirt paths, native plants, avocado orchards, and sniffing spots on our 100+ acre ranch • views of the Los Posas Valley and the Channel Islands are spectacular on a clear day • you may very well encounter wildlife, so be aware of that, especially with a small dog • dog waste bags and dog water bowls are not supplied Our guests have: • enjoyed a leisurely stroll with their dogs while enjoying the views • played with their reactive pup without the worry of other people or other dogs • snapped great photos and posted on social media • had a picnic with their pup • played fetch and did some zoomies • relaxed and enjoyed the view • quickly and easily rescheduled visits in the app • sniffed, sniffed again, and sniffed some more! We are located in central San Diego, just up the hill from Snapdragon Stadium in Mission Valley, and are easy to access from major freeways including the 15, 8, 163 and 52. Our property is double-fenced, which brings peace-of-mind to our guests. The top patio area, where you will enter and exit, is fully-fenced and secure, as is the lower yard with its own gate. Our home is in a quiet neighborhood, on a dead end street. Street parking is always available either right in front of our house or close by. You will have private access through a side gate to our backyard. Dogs love to run up and down the dirt slope in our yard to chase balls and expend their energy. The slope leads to our flat, lower dirt yard which is perfect for your dogs to run free and get their zoomies out! We do have a turf area under the play structure, as well as inside the enrichment area. We provide everything you could possibly need during your visit including lots of balls, Chuck It launchers for fetch, toys, water bowls, a hose, enrichment activities, plenty of seating, shade, a cot for the pups, towels, and more - all of which are included in the base price! We also offer lots of fun upgrades to add-on including a stock pool, pup ice creams, ball pit, bubble machine, puzzle toy bin, and a self-service bath station! Enjoy walking with your dogs through the vineyards, watch them swim in the two ponds, look for ducks, hawks, and owls, view the horses in their nearby pens, or sit and relax while your dog burns energy!
