At Sandy Bottom River Retreat you will find 8 acres of beautiful Florida woodlands, wetlands, and the river all in one place for you and your pup(s) to play and explore! There are tons of different sensory elements for you and your pup(s) to find throughout Sandy Bottom! Including but not limited to: 🌼 Wildflowers 🐓 Chicken Coop 🌲 Tree Swings 🦌 Wildlife 🐾 Trails 🐟 Fish 👃 Scents 🦋 Butterfriends 🔥 Firepits Our property is nestled on the river and is typically crystal clear, shallow and sandy bottomed; During the rainy season (July-Oct), the river becomes deep and dark colored, this can happen other times of the year as well when there is heavy rain for several days. It is very uncommon to see Alligators in the river where we are at but not impossible, and if you're lucky, on a rare occasion you might catch sight of river otter! However, usually the most you will see in the river is fish. 💩 Waste bags and disposal bin provided ❓ ~ If you ever have questions, please don't hesitate to ask, we are happy to answer questions! 👙 We are CO friendly! You can use the pool or we can put up the safety fence. Additionally we have a small kiddie pool for dogs that like to splash around or just prefer drinking from a giant water bowl. Fully fenced yard with short grass that is landscaped each week. Patio in the yard with a table, chairs, and umbrella. We also have a trampoline and playsets for small children. There is a cooler with water bottles that can also be used to fill the water bowl available for the dogs. We have a kiddie pool for pups as well as a hose if needed. There are towels available for drying off - please drape those over a chair if used. The wifi information is listed on a small sign on the patio table. Bug spray, hand sanitizer, sunscreen, and dog treats are available in a basket on the table. There are also doggy bags located in a small dispenser on one of the white posts where you can also hang your leash(es). We ask that you dispose of your waste in the large black trashcan in front of the shed outside the gate when you are leaving. We do have 2 free range hens, 2 roosters, and a turkey that you may see roaming around, but they are friendly and will not bother you.
