Welcome to our Delaware oasis, a 10-acre testament to nature’s beauty on a horse farm. Our family’s heart holds a special place for my first dog, Cody, a spirited soul who taught us resilience. If Sniffspot existed then, it would’ve been a haven for us, a place to learn and grow without the fear of hills and unpredictability. In his memory, we offer this space – a peaceful realm for training, exploration, and connection, just like Cody would have loved.

HOST NOTE

Should you wish to explore our wooded (unfenced) trail, we are happy to guide you as it is naturally decorated with steep slopes, fallen branches and leaves! The back pastures have a hidden hill leading to roughly an acre of green grass overlooking the commercial farm land behind us. Until we welcome our farm animals, and with advance notice, we are open to providing a guided tour. However, please keep in mind that we try to fill in as many gopher holes as we can. Help us help you by being mindful of your steps while frolicking our farm land. Safety is paramount, so please share your dog(s) needs and triggers. Stay by their side, watch them revel in their freedom, and cherish the uninterrupted moments together. We are located near an active aviation summit and railroad tracks. Though infrequent, you may occasionally hear or see them nearby. Please keep this in mind.

1. All pets must be up to date on vaccinations. 2. Please keep pets within designated areas to ensure their safety and the safety of our animals. 3. Clean up after your pets - we provide doggy bags for your convenience. 4. Pets must be supervised (and leashed upon entering and exiting our doggy area) by a human adult at all times. 5. No digging or destructive behavior allowed. 6. For the safety of all, aggressive behavior is not permitted. Pets exhibiting such behavior must be removed immediately. 7. Be mindful of noise levels to respect our children, farm animals and neighbors. 8. Please inform us in advance if you plan to bring more than three dogs. 9. Enjoy our property, but please leave the space as you found it when your booking is complete. *** By booking, you’re acknowledging that 10+ acres of farm land is riskier than walking on a neighborhood sidewalk. While we personally and professionally maintain our land, it is impossible to pick up every fallen branch or fill every hole dug by gopher or visiting dog. We will not be held liable for any trips, slips, or bumps that are out of our control. ***

Hello to all the pawrents out there! I dove into the SniffSpot world inspired by the memory of my first dog. His spirit was too much for ordinary dog parks, but it’s exactly what spurred me to create a safe, welcoming space for dogs like him.

Welcome to our 1 acre fully fenced private dog park! Some quick tips, make sure to look for our brick driveway as some GPS systems will navigate to our neighbors house. The gates are cattle style gates, to enter the backyard lift straight up on the back metal lever and push forward. Our fencing is mostly split rail fencing with some privacy fencing as well. There is wire around the entire perimeter to ensure safety. If you have extra small or toy size dogs I would recommend caution, but the fence is secure. We occasionally hear some dogs barking in our neighborhood, and my dogs on occasion but rarely may bark as well. I would also note that there are a few indoor/outdoor cats in our neighborhood that can be seen from time to time. A couple of further notes to be aware of. First off, this is not a small yard that is perfectly kept with 100% grass coverage. It is a very large field with some large trees especially in the back. Because of that, if we get heavy rain it will likely be a bit soggy, and there might be some spots of mud. This is mostly noticeable in the cooler months, but even in the summer if we get enough rain it is possible. If you have any issues with your dogs running and playing in a large field/wooded environment after heavy rainfall please be aware and schedule accordingly! Another note is there is a train that runs along the back of the house beyond the fence up on the hill. The dogs never seem to mind it though, we actually like it! Other than that, it is a very quiet neighborhood. I hope you enjoy!

People have occasionally been showing up around the lake - please be aware of this We do test for blue green algae (scroll to picture 5) and we tested NEGATIVE. The lake is safe and not suffering from any toxic algae blooms. Does your dog love to run? Love to swim? Love to chill in the shade? We have it all! Enjoy 3 acres of fenced in land to run around, a private lake for your pup to swim in or do some dock diving, and a bamboo forest perfect for getting some shade and feeling at peace. We have an active train that can run nearby twice a day. Most dogs don't mind, but if yours does, be mindful that it can show up (: Two people per dog please maximum! Although the app is still problematic, we will work with you to find a solution. Please understand our slow responses are due to the app. IMPORTANT NOTE TO GUESTS I struggle with chronic illness / an autoimmune disease that often has me sidelined. I do my best to keep up outside, but please excuse me, or message me when there are things not so aesthetically pleasing, I will do my absolute best to mend to it as soon as possible.
