I am the proud mama of two fearful and reactive dogs and work as a caregiver specializing in special needs animals and dogs with special behavior cases, esp. fear-based aggression. We built this yard specifically for fence jumpers and dogs that need and deserve a quiet and private space to play and feel safe. Our spot’s entrance is remotely controlled, allowing us to ensure there is zero risk of anyone entering the yard during your visit. We believe our guests deserve security and privacy, and will never enter the yard unless you have specifically requested that we do (i.e. if there is an emergency and you have expressly asked me to come out to the yard and help you). Our yard is spacious, wooded, and green with full 8ft privacy fencing including inwardly-angled fence extenders. Fully fenced with 4 foot chain link fence. We do not pick up after our dogs often so if your dog likes chocolate surprises I would keep an eye on them. A million sticks for the chewers. Feel free to hang in the hammock in the back. Hot tub is not open for use unfortunately. It is not attached to our back yard and is a completely separate and private area. A great place for play dates with others, maybe even a picnic for the humans. Bring your snowshoes if you would like a bit of a workout yourself off trail in the deeper snow! PLEASE NOTE: Zero tolerance for smoking of ANYTHING while on our property. You may smoke in your own personal vehicle. But also, do NOT leave your dogs unattended. Please pick up after your dog. I am finding a crazy amount of poop left behind. Fill any holes you pup digs and return toy to bin. Also, in the winter months, please be aware that their is no lighting in the field. The designated Sniffspot parking area has ample lighting but none in the field.

This is a great little spot with alot of privacy once you are down the hill by the river. There is an open field for the dogs to run and play catch with a mix of grass and sand, There are multiple spots where the dogs and people can get into the water if you wish . I also have a picnic table and some chairs down there to sit and relax at , it is very peaceful and private. I also offer overnight camping for guests for 100 a night , I have a nice large lodge style tent set up overlooking the river , there is a grill picnic table , firepit a couple fishing poles or you could always bring your own. I also have kayaks and a canoe available for rent also.

In the middle is a courtyard with glider benches around a propane fire pit, a table/chairs, with a tiered water fountain in the middle. (Dogs not allowed within the garden area.) Enjoy the many types of birds that fly overhead on their way to Peltier Lake. There are also Sandhill cranes that show up periodically, as well as turkeys & geese. We offer you access to a 1/2 acre, fully fenced, off leash area where your dog can do whatever they want. They can dig in the sandbox or dirt pile (or wherever else they would like), walk on the meandering mowed paths, climb the gigantic tree branch, cool off in the kiddie pool, hop around on the stack of straw bales, sniff the local plants, flowers and grasses, play games with their favorite person on the mowed playing field, or take a nap in the sun (or shade if you come in the beginning of the day).
