There may be some very small gaps (under 4”) under fencing as it was installed this year. We are facing The Great Swamp wildlife refuge with various animals living behind us, so they may be tempted with scents. 😊 While there is secure fencing under the deck, please also do not allow your dog to dig and create gaps, for safety reasons. This is a private home, the bookings are allowing me to recover from this new fence for my greyhound mix. Please be respectful and do not let your dog urinate on the house, deck, deck stairs, etc. This is a beautiful location against the Great Swamp, and I’d like to share it with other four-legged friends. We just moved from nyc to have a yard, so I understand the importance of off-leash freedom! There is a small trash can at end of the carport (near back steps) for potty bags. Please pick up after your dog. We may be home, but we will not bother you. We are located on a dead end, and it is typically very quiet and peaceful here. You are welcome to park in our driveway. Hello! I hope you and your pup enjoy your reservation. A few tips to help first-time guests: - Make sure the address you come to is 61 3rd st South Orange NJ 07079, and NOT 61 w 3rd st. Sometimes Apple Maps will add in that West, but that’s a different address. - Please don’t park in the driveway, as we may need to come and go during your visit. There’s typically lots of free street parking on Third street between Valley and Academy. - Feel free to let yourself into the backyard through the white gate at the back of the driveway. Please be very careful to ensure that the gate fully closes and latches each time it’s opened, as it will not close + lock behind you automatically. - There is a water spout attached to a hose by the gate, feel free to use! Just please don’t try to disconnect the hose from the faucet, as it’s been damaged in the past. To use, gently turn the brown handle to release the water, and gently turn it back to shut off. - No need to worry too much about our outdoor furniture, it’s mostly hand-me-downs and we don’t mind if it gets banged up by energetic puppies 😊 feel free to move it around as needed. - All we ask is that you please clean up after pup and take any garbage and waste with you, as we do not have an accessible garbage can at this time (but hopefully soon!) - Please feel free to message me with any questions at all!
