Welcome to our little piece of heaven. We enjoy our land and our dogs so much we want others to as well, so we opened it to sniff spot. Our area is a total of 17 acres with a creek that runs a quarter of the way throughout the perimeter. This is a large piece of property and is close to a busy road so some dogs so require some sort of long leash or rope for the dogs that do not have a strong recall. A portion of the land is mowed for a shorter terrain for ease of mobility. Trails are available to utilize as well as more are being cut at current time to travel throughout property. Half the property is left natural for a refuge for the wildlife. The natural areas have areas where there is tall grass areas. Thick brush, and uneven ground. Please consider your self and your animal’s physical health when hiking through property. There is a creek on both sides of the driveway and trails on both sides of the driveway as well . Feel free to get down in the creek and look for arrow heads, crawfish or cool shaped creek rocks. Walk the creek or the trails or let them stretch out across the field, play ball or frisbee there is plenty of room to run and stretch you furry baby’s legs. When visiting in spring it is highly recommended to wear bug spray for the flys and ticks as that’s a very heavy season and is recommended. Future accommodations coming : fenced 60x60 area dog play area with obstacles and sitting area, more trails and sitting areas along creek side. **closed until spring 2026 due to low water levels in lake** Located on lake Herrington, does have about 500 sq feet of land for the dog to use on the lower part as well as a fully fenced small yard but the highlight is the dock. Perfect for a relaxing day hanging out with your dog while it swims, bonus is that you can swim around too! No electric hook up near water so no need to worry! Great place for a dock diving dog as well! Recommended for dogs with great recall or to just keep a leash on! Please do not mess with the boat or jet skis we have tied up. There is 10 plus acres trails, creek, lage mowed areas, wild blackberries during season. The area is very open but has fences on outskirts of property its way off any sort of road and as long as your bonded with your dog and they have some training you should have no problem. We do have some tennis balls and a slinger but i suggest bringing your own toys. Theres 2 fire pits near the house as well as on the creek and on the trail areas that can be used as long as done responsibly. We have spare dog bowls and a hose accessible. Poop scooping only required if done in yard directly around the house. My dogs love their stomping grounds and im sure you and your dog will as well

Carter's Private Dog Park

Carter’s Private Dog Park allows dogs to explore the trails and creeks in the woods area, walk the 1/2 mile gravel driveway, play in acres of grass fields, and enjoy the obstacles set up for our sister horse obstacle course (Alliance Equine Obstacle Course) where all are located on a private, gated (BUT not fenced) 36 plus acre farm. You will need to keep dogs leashed to stay on the farm property and not roam onto neighbors land. Please note horses and cats are also on site. Additional fully fenced field (appx 1/2 acre) can be added as an extra where your dog can be off leash. Please pick up after your pet at all times and areas. Water is available for drinking for dogs from a hose near the parking area (bring own bowls) or creeks (at times) in the woods. Outdoor Bath area (not heated) is an extra if planning to have your dog swim in the pond and wash before leaving. Owners must bring own dog shampoo and towels.
