It was also a great birding location and I even saw a couple green heron. The host was very friendly and so were his other human guests who were at the pond fishing. We did not see any dogs there. My pup was very dirty after a swim in the pond and a roll in the dirt so be prepared. There is a spot for water, toys, and hosing off your dog. We had an absolute blast at Taylor Pond! The property is gorgeous and well-maintained and my dog loved zooming on the path around the pond, chasing ducks, and sniffing everything. This was a great spot and my dog had a great time. It was easy to find and there was a hose to fill the water bowl and rinse. We weren’t sure if the pond was safe for swimming but we didn’t ask either. For my reactive friends, there is a trail on the back side of the pond where we saw other dogs but there was a fence and bushes in between us and the trail. There are ducks on the pond too. We saw a few people on the property but they stayed away for the most part. There is also a hammock, a swing, a tether ball, and a storage container with climbing rocks that got us hoomans entertained too. Make sure to bring poop bags. We definitely plan on coming back.

Rogue had a blast here. She loved popping in and out of the pond and running all around. Multiple barge type tie outs and she explored each one. There were a variety of ducks in the pond but my girl did not bother them. Bring multiple towels as your dog will get pretty muddy after being in the water. I would definitely use this location again!

Are dog hiking trails safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, inattentive owners, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks are much safer than a city or county park. With a Sniffspot off-leash area all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). Our hiking trails tend to be outside the city, which lends to more privacy, but it is also important to follow typical hiking safety precautions, such as potentially having trail maps.

What are the requirements to bring my dog to a Sniffspot dog hiking trail?
In order to hike the trails, we require that all dogs have basic vaccinations or equivalent titers. We do not permit dogs with a bite history. We require that guests sign our waiver and agree to follow our safety rules.
Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot hiking trail at the same time as me?
Sniffspot only allows one booking at a time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the spot during visits. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between bookings.
