Captain's Retreat at Bear Creek located off Highway 64 in Mocksville! 4.5 acres of fully fenced (woven mesh wire and post/rail 5.5ft to 6ft high) with trails, woods, field, and plenty of room to run and explore! Open the front gate and drive into the secure parking area. ***CLOSE AND LATCH THE GATE BEHIND YOU BEFORE GETTING YOUR DOGS OUT OF THE CAR!*** Walk through gate into the space from the secure parking area. This area has wooded trails as well as cleared areas. Densely wooded areas and thickets all around. TICK PREVENTION IS A MUST! There are no pesticides or herbicides used here. Only natural horticulture vingear for spot weed control. This area is located beside Bear Creek and when the creek is high or after a good rain IT WILL BE MUDDY on the right side of the property! Dry creekbed located across the back of the property. **The Creek is NOT accessible from the fenced property** -Water hose on site for use. Dog shower/bath area to the right of the shed with dog wash hose attached, shampoo, and wash shammy. Or you may bring your own bath supplies! Feel free to give your dog a shower/bath! ***Just added dog pool*** For use at no extra charge! Fill up/use if you'd like! Dog Paradise in Northwest Charlotte

**The pool is closed for the season.** Welcome! We have a fun property your dogs will love! We have a 2 acre property, which includes approximately a half acre fenced area, a 1 acre unfenced area, and a separately fenced inground pool area. Only dogs are allowed in the swimming pool (unless you're actively helping or playing with them). Two creeks outline our property and dogs are welcome anywhere on the property. We tend to keep the grass in the back of the property a bit longer to support the bees, but it also makes for lots more sniffing for the pups! If you're using the unfenced portion of the yard, dogs must be on leash. We have dogs of our own, but we will keep them secure in the house when you're using the property so you'll have the whole yard and pool to yourself. With rolling hills, bumpy terrain, and tons of open space, it’s a sniff-and-sprint paradise! *We are outside the city limits and it is not uncommon to hear hunters nearby shooting* ✅ Fully enclosed with secure fencing ✅ Natural terrain: hilly, bumpy, and tons of sensory enrichment ✅ Water station & shade available inside carport and through trails ✅ Poop bags & trash bin provided Trash & Amenities: The trash can and other amenities are inside the carport and at the picnic table in the back near the bamboo forest. Seating: We have a table and four chairs in the bamboo/shaded area in the very back if you would like to have a picnic off the ground. At any time, you can request more seating. In addition, we have a bench inside the carport and at the well. Fence: The fence is 3 feet on three sides and five feet on the road side. The front fence is wood slats/split rail with wire. On other sides we have wire and chain link. Our Great Pyrenees and Golden Retriever have not tried to jump it. *There are critters that like to lift up our wire fencing. Just beware if you have a tiny dog.* Wildlife: You may see turtles, snakes, rabbits, deer, ground hogs and squirrels. There have been times that deer will be stuck inside our fencing. Grounds: The property around the home has never been graded so it is hilly and lumpy so be careful where you step. You can see holes dug in the yard from dogs. It is fine if they dig. Water: You have access to our well and water bowls.

Aggressive dogs, puppies under 4 months, and sick or injured animals are not allowed. The park features amenities such as chairs, tables, and a field for play. Where Dogs can be Dogs

This is a very quiet place on a country road where your dogs can be off leash and free to explore nature. The full four acres are surrounded by a 5 foot fence and there is a small creek running through the property. There is a wide spot in the creek that is easily the most popular spot for our canine visitors! In the summer, though, the creek dries up until the fall rains come. You can always message us to find out if there is water in the creek before your visit. There are larger fields and open areas for your dogs to practice their retrieving, and there are many paths in the woods for hiking. The beginning of each path is marked with quartz stones to show you the way. You will also find several benches scattered throughout the property so that you can take a load off while your dogs run and play. When it rains the property can be quite wet in some areas, so bring boots and a towel to clean off your muddy (but happy!) dog. There is a full competition size agility field within the four acres. The agility equipment is completely fenced in and will be accessible only to those who have had at least one formal beginner's agility class. This is to keep you and your dog safe and to prevent misuse of the equipment. Please message the host when you book the spot and before your first visit to discuss your agility experience if you are wanting to access the equipment. **I would really like for your first visit to be on a weekend or a Tuesday (my day off) so that I can meet with you to show you some details about the property and discuss parking. After the first visit, book whenever you want! If you absolutely cannot make it these days for your first visit, we can work something out. 🙂

The Ponderosa 4 Acre Fully Fenced Private Dog Park

Wide open for dogs that need to run. Our guests have highlighted that they appreciate that they have easy visibility to keep eyes on their dog. The pasture was originally used for goats so there are lots of interesting smells. Picnic table and outdoor furniture for humans or dogs underneath shade trees. Climbing structure. Water with hose available. Trash and poop bags available. Entrance is 80 yards away from residence. Minutes from 485/Lawyers Rd - easy to find, easy to access. UPDATE ON DOWNED TREE (8/27/25): The downed tree has been removed! The grass has not regrown in that area but your dog is welcome to sniff, dig, or find a cool stick in that area! *NEW* We have seasonal homemade jellies, jams, pickles, plants, and seasonal produce for sale at our welcome table (as available).

Fully Fenced Room to Roam in Cherryville

Twenty-seven acres right outside of 28021 city limits. Former cattle and sheep pasture, currently empty of livestock but waiting for you and your pup(s) to explore! Variety of areas: from large open pastures to heavily wooded (but still easily accessible/walkable) areas = lots to see, hear, and sniff! No need to pick up after your pet either! Water available multiple locations: outside the fenced pastures near block building/parking via hose pipe at the well near the garden 🪴 or inside the pastures (look for the blue barrels and the cattle waterers).

Slys Peace Trail

Located in the foothills, the Slys Peace trail was created for dog stimulation. The trail starts at the lower end of the pasture and follows the creek meandering through a rhododendron forest. Situated at the base of 100 acres of wooded ridge land, the hike offers a wilderness experience customized to your comfort zone. There are multiple trails to accommodate your level of exercise. The full experience will require crossing the creek multiple times and is recommended for those with hiking experience. Trails are easy to follow with multiple exits that lead out to the pasture. This is dog heaven. Let your dog be a dog. To locate the gate entrance watch for the Giant metal horse. His nose points the way. Follow the fenceline a few hundred feet where you will find the gate just before the power line easement. There is now a large Sniff Spot sign securely attached.

Pfafftown Barks and Rec.

Welcome! 3.5 Acre Open Pasture. Right now its VERY basic. We are looking to add on amenities like a completely enclosed area as well. Right now, there is a fence but it serves as a property boundary. This fence would not a contain a dog who does not have recall. The wire is electric fence wire. The power is turned off to it. We have chickens. They will be enclosed and not a bother to you and your dog! more then likely you will hear our rooster. The coop is not inside the sniffspot. We have two dogs. They will be kept inside. They may bark at your arrival but you will not see them during your visit. There is an in-ground fence for them. But, we do not plan on ever having them out while you are visiting. Hot Diggity Dog Retreat

**no trash can on site** Please take poop bags to tractor shed. There is a 5 gal bucket in the left bay of shed. We offer over 1 acre of fully fenced play yard and 10+ acres of UNFENCED trails, pond and woods. Enjoy a picnic on the bank of the pond or bring your fishing pole and catch a fish! Groups are welcome...so reserve a friend or two! We do limit cars to 2 per reservation or with advanced notice more are allowed. Also, speed limit on our long gravel drive is 10 MPH. We have a water spigot inside dog lot near steps. Please DO NOT use the water spigot in the open field near edge of driveway (handle will not cut off water supply!) No bowls provided due to sanitation so please bring a water bowl. Our property is over 0.2 miles from any public road. Enjoy the quiet country setting and have fun!

Pond Paradise Dog Adventure Area

New and improved area! Fully fenced 1 acre that includes the pond. 5 acres nestled in a slow pace subdivision in Winston Salem in Arcadia. 5 acres include dense woods, grass, and a large, stocked pond. It is our private residence and you may hear other dogs barking from inside but please enjoy your time with us. Our dogs just love the area. Area is not treated for pests.

Redwood Dog Park

Whitewater Off Leash is a fully-fenced dog park located at 5000 Whitewater Center Pkwy in Charlotte, North Carolina. Dogs must remain on-leash until inside the off-leash area, and owners must keep their dog under voice control. Dogs must be up to date on vaccines, at least 4 months old, and must have a collar with identifying tag. Owners are responsible for picking up their dog's waste, and there is a limit of three dogs per person. The park offers amenities such as dog drinking water, a washing area, fields, lakes, and a beach. No lifeguards are on duty, and humans are not allowed in the lakes or ponds.
