55Our dogs had a blast! They ran full-out, sniffed, rolled, explored, chased each other and were totally exhausted by the time we left. My main concern is always the fencing, and I had no concerns here. The area is so huge that I couldn't examine every inch of the fence, but it was very secure everywhere we went. The owners' home is in a fenced area in the middle of the field, and their (at least) four dogs are in that fenced area. There are also neighbor dogs that made their presence known, but we had no problems with it. If your dog gets reactive around other dogs, that might be an issue to consider. Bring water. The area is huge and you'll want to make sure you have water for your pups wherever they wander. You will want to bring a chair if you're not interested in standing or walking the whole time, but we found it a wonderful walk, especially among the ancient cedars along the edges. JoLaine J.

One of our dogs is getting over a bruised paw and the soft grass was perfect for him to comfortably run. We were impressed by the large area, and the fact that our dogs could run full out in the grassy area, but around the perimeter of the property there was a shady trail through the trees we also enjoyed exploring. The owner’s house sits in a fenced area in the middle of the property and two dogs were in the fenced enclosure. This huge and beautiful space was exactly what they needed to decompress and our host was wonderful and welcoming.

There were a few poops in the area closest to the road, but I can cut them some slack seeing as how this is a really large area and if your dog is off leash, you might not always see every poop. The journey through beautiful country roads with sprawling fields set the stage for a relaxing visit. The SniffSpot itself is a very large open field with well-maintained grass and an intact fence, providing a safe and enjoyable environment for our dogs. The perimeter is lined with trees that cast lovely shade, making it a perfect spot for both play and relaxation.

Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers).
