A combination of vinyl privacy fencing and chain link fencing in non-privacy areas. The perimeter is checked regularly for gaps. We have a Pollinator Path and Prairie Sanctuary with Sensory Fun including a Dig Zone for your puppers. We have a fenced in Backyard for you and your puppers enjoyment. The backyard is around 6900 square feet of off leash fun. We have additional attractions coming as the summer progresses. The Pollinator Path is close to .5 miles in 2 acres. It is a mowed path and your dogs are welcome to be on long lead throughout the area. There is wildlife and infrequently a domesticated animal neighbor that might try to join you. Safety is key. I will have long leashes available to borrow! As in any prairie and pollinator area, there may be thorns, raspberries and poison ivy off the path. In the backyard there is plenty of shaded seating on the patio so you can relax while zoomies, sniffs and yayas are being fulfilled. Pookie and Belvedere (as well as their humans) may be in the house when your dogs are here. But, they will keep all their 4-legged fun inside so your dog (or dogs) can enjoy the space.

My back yard has a gated entrance that is secured on the inside for the safety of your pet while in the spot! Fully fenced, with some opps for sniffing other dogs through the fence. There is a chance for occasionally seeing other people and dogs but not in close contact. My pup and I will be inside, but he will probably greet you with barking. It’s a great backyard with a good space for your pup to get some off leash time. Upon request there is a puppy pool that can be put out for your pup! Seating and a table for pup parents that the majority of the day is shaded but midafternoon there is strong sun till sunset. There willl be an umbrella and stand if you would like to use that for shade. The yard is sunny most of the day. I will request picking up after your pet there is a chance there could be some piles from my own dog but I do have a service that does a weekly (Tuesday)pick up there will be a 5 gallon bucket for waste disposal, I do have a scooper that has bag clips I would ask that all poos are bagged before disposal please. If you have a high energy dog I highly recommend sitting at the top of the stairs and throwing a ball to the back corner of the yard! Wears out every Aussie I know!

Spacious back yard on the south side of Des Moines. There is wood privacy fencing between my yard and the neighbors before switching to chain link mid-way back. Fence is all 6 feet tall with gates on either side of the house, at the back, and on one side further back. There are some small gaps along the bottom of some places where the ground is uneven, but my dog has never gotten out. There are also tree roots in some spots of the yard. My neighbors have dogs in a kennel outside sometimes, which can be heard and seen from my yard. Guests can park in the driveway or on the street and enter using the gates on either side of the house. Feel free to use any toys out there and dispose of trash in the brown bin. There are also chairs on the patio you are free to sit in.
