Leslie's Wags & Whiskers Wonderland Private Pup Playground In West Caldwell

Fully Fenced
1 acre

***2025 SEASON - POOL OPEN!!!*** Come and visit us at Wags & Whiskers Wonderland. Where tails wag fast and wave high, whiskers smile, wet noses sniff, zoomies can zoom and doggie wishes come true! Come alone with your dog, with doggie friends or maybe a doggie birthday "pawty" (pawty packages available). We love being a part of Sniffspot and providing a safe space for dogs to get exercise and explore. I have had reactive dogs and understand the struggles to find fun and safe spaces for them to explore. Come here and enjoy a fully fenced backyard with pool (OPTIONAL EXTRA FEE-POOL IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE YARD BOOKING FEE AND YOU MUST ADD EXTRA). Fence height 4 - 5 feet. Large park like setting with grassy flat area for dogs to romp and play. There are dog bowls available and a hose for water. There is seating available as well as a furnished and seasonally decorated gazebo to sit and enjoy some shade and take some cute photos. We also leave free treats in the gazebo for our furry guests. A beautiful large mulberry tree also provides some nice shade. There is a heated built in pool, which is separately fenced for safety, and available for use with ADDITIONAL FEE. Dog toys available for in and out of the pool. For pool users we offer several sizes of dog swim vests from XS to XL. I also offer a supply of bug spray and sunscreens. In case of muddy paws there are pet wipes for dogs, hand wipes for human guests and also a first aid kit just in case. There is a large private driveway for parking. Please remember the purpose of Sniffspot...to interact with your dog so please engage with them and supervise them at all times…no dogs should be unattended at any time. My main focus of becoming a host is for the enjoyment, enrichment, benefit and safety of THE DOGS...this is why we have clear rules, boundaries and limitations which we ask that all of our guests respect. Please always ask if you have any questions or need clarification. Also, as much as we love kids, ADULTS ONLY please. To our pool users...If you have added the pool as an add on, the dogs are all welcome. Their humans (1 adults only per dog) are also allowed to enter with the dog as long as the human is interacting/playing with the dog (if no dog in the pool, then no people in the pool). If your dog has never been in a pool, DO NOT traumatize your dog by just throwing them in and PLEASE USE LIFE VEST (many sizes available) and introduce slowly. I do my best to clean/skim the hair out of the pool between guests IF I am home. Unfortunately, I am not always home and cannot attend to the pool in between, and I apologize in advance if there is hair from a previous guest. I have a robot skimmer which may be floating in the pool to help keep if clean. If it is in the pool, please remove before entering and replace when you are done (there are instructions on how to do that at the pool). If you have a dog that may heavily shed, perhaps brush if possible before attending so that less hair enters the pool. We want to keep it nice and clean for all of our guests so everyone has a positive experience. We also do not want to put extra stress on the pool filter so we can keep it running for everyone to use. I also leave a skimmer net by the pool if needed. FYI...It's NJ so the pool is only open from May until end of September. Please keep this in mind when booking and feel free to message me if you want to check on availability. Our yard is very safe but keep in mind this is a backyard which is surrounded by woods and you are outdoors and there are things you may potentially see or encounter. We do use mosquito control but there can be bugs, mosquitoes, gnats, frogs, spiders, bees, wasps, critters, groundhogs, chipmunks, snakes, rabbits, opossum, squirrels, deer, turkey, hawks just to name a few. This is nature and we cannot control nature. NOTE: 1) PLEASE DO NOT BRING ANY DOG THAT IS SHOWING ANY SIGNS OF SICKNESS OR ILLESS (DIARRHEA, VOMITING, COUGHING, LETHARGY). ALSO, I KNOW SNIFFSPOT ASKS ABOUT DOGS BEING VACCINATED BUT DOESN'T REQUIRE PROOF. I BEG OF ANY GUEST THAT YOUR DOG PLEASE BE HEALTHY AND FULLY VACCINATED. I HAVE A SPECIAL NEEDS DOG THAT IS IMMUNE COMPROMISED AND I NEED TO PROTECT HIS WELL BEING. 2) Allowed 1-2 ADULTS per dog ONLY. 3) Pool area: Use at your own risk. Pool is 3 - 10ft on the deepest end. No running, diving or food/glass around pool. Please do not leave dogs unattended. 4) Raised deck attached to house not for use by guests. 5) Please return everything to it's proper place where you found it. 6) No alcohol or smoking. 7) Please do not let your dog pee or scratch at the pool equipment (filter/heater) behind the pool. 8) I do have some weekend blocks on the schedule. If you are interested in a specific day/time, please let me know, and I still may be able to accommodate you upon request. 9) I currently have dog limit set to 6 but can accommodate more upon request so please feel free to ask. We can make special accommodations upon request.

Natasha's 0.5 Acre Fully Fenced Private Dog Park In Freehold Township

Fully Fenced
0.5 acres

Earlier / later hours and WEEKEND hours added for the rest of summer!! Thank you to all our amazing, respectful guests! 🐾 You and your pup(s) will love this park-like oasis! The half acre fenced area consists of ample grass to run on, a concrete sidewalk / patio (handicapped accessible), mulchbeds of flowers & berries (feel free to grab a handful of berries if they’re in season!) and a giant sandbox / playground area. Tree cover throughout the yard provides shade, even in the hottest summer months. All around you is privacy—to one side, a half acre unfenced stretch of our property, and all around the property is 3.5 acres of private woods and wetlands. Deer, wild turkey, turtles, frogs, & birds of all kinds are just some of the animals you may spot! We provide tables and chairs, a half gallon thermos of water, poop bags & scooper, and several toys / treats. Kids (or kids at heart) will have a blast using the ride-on sand diggers, slides, and swings & coloring with sidewalk chalk. Fertilizer and pesticide: The grass is treated with fertilizer a couple times a year and the bushes are sprayed for ticks/mosquitos and weeds approximately monthly. As we have young kids and previously had pets, all products used are animal & child safe when dry (within 2 hours). Out of an abundance of caution, we will ensure reservations are blocked off for the entirety of the day following any fertilizer, herbicide, or pesticide treatment.

Unfenced
15 acres

- 15 acres - 3 fields with tall grasses to explore (these are mowed by a tractor intermittently throughout the season - feel free to message for updates - multiple cleared acres - trail - pool (additional cost) - fishing * - swimming for dogs in pond * **Pond will be under going routine treatment/maintenance from our management company this coming week (7/13)*** Property & fields will still be accessible, but swimming & fishing will not be available during this time. Please message for more up to date details. We are a newer spot & have been happy to offer our property for dogs & owners to enjoy and explore. We have plans to continue improving our property to make it even more enjoyable and appealing. This includes treatment and management of our pond (this will help with any overgrown of invasive species such as so many cattails and keep any algae and weeds at bay during the summer months to insure a clear swimming, boating & fishing environment), we will be clearing out more overgrown foliage near the front dam & adding a bridge to create an additional access point to field#2 on the opposite side of the pond (currently the main way to access this field is by walking around the back side of the pond), we will also be adding a small cabin (we will offer this to be rented out in the future and will not have Sniffspot on those days) & we will add benches to the opposite side of the pond for all to enjoy. We look forward to sharing this journey with you all!

St Hubert's Private Dog Park in Madison

Fully Fenced
0.5 acres

Half an acre of fenced in field for pups to play in privately on the beautiful property of St. Hubert's campus. Great to get zoomies out before or after a leashed hike or training class in our onsite dog training school. Feel free to stop by Buddy's Boutique after playtime for a doggie snack or new toy. All proceeds go to help homeless animals and low-income pet owners! Message before arrival for the combination to the lock on the gate. (It will be changed regularly.) Suggestion from host--lock the gate when you enter so no passersby enter. People sometimes think this is a public space they can walk into when they see guests inside. PARTY PACKAGES AVAILABLE! If you would like to have a birthday party, breed meet up or family reunion for 5-30 dogs, please message us here or email ddc@sthuberts.org or call 973-524-9098 for details that can be discussed. *The entrance gate to our Sniffspot is on Woodland Ave beside the sidewalk. Park on the street rather than in the shelter parking lot for easier access! If you HAVE parked in the shelter lot, walk down the driveway to the street and turn left. Walk down the sidewalk until you see the gate with the SniffSpot sign.

FAQ About New Jersey Dog Parks

What inspired Sniffspot to offer a network of private dog parks?

Sniffspot's founder, David Adams, lives with a leash reactive dog and a dog selective dog. Back in 2016, he and his wife Rebecca were struggling to meet their pup Toshii's basic needs in a city environment as there was nowhere safe to let their guards down. In passing, Rebecca texted that she wished “there was an app to find places to let him off leash” — and the rest, as they say, is history.

David is heavily involved in the day-to-day operations of Sniffspot. His personal experiences have made him passionate about giving all dogs the opportunity to sniff, run, and play without fear! As long as we share a place on Earth, Sniffspot believes that dogs have an inherent right to live a fulfilling, joyful, and rewarding life just like we do.

What kind of dogs benefit from private dog parks?

The short answer: All dogs!

Because they're private spaces without the chaos of many public city parks, Sniffspots are especially well suited to dogs who are nervous, in training, or working through reactivity. But every pet can benefit from time with just their owners in an environment all to themselves.

Here are a few things guests commonly use Sniffspots for:

  • Working on training skills, like recall, in an environment with moderate distractions (a good middle step between your own home and busier areas out in public)
  • Having playdates with one or two trusted dogs, either just for fun or to help build healthy social skills
  • Being able to run around in a securely fenced space especially if owners don't have a yard of their own
  • Safely exposing dogs to new environments, which is a key part of proper socialization — many Sniffspots offer varying terrain like water features plus a range of objects like agility equipment that can help your pup get comfortable in more situations
  • Changing up regular walking and play routines to provide more variety and fulfillment — taking the same route or playing in the same park every day in a row can get boring for our pets!
Aren't public dog parks good for dogs?

It's important for most modern dogs to have off leash exercise where they're able to engage in natural behaviors like sniffing and running. Since letting dogs off leash in city parks can be dangerous for the surrounding community and wildlife — not to mention can lead to issues with animal control or park authority departments — public dog parks are a legal way to let dogs have off leash exercise.

Unfortunately, the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There might be unsocialized dogs displaying aggressive behavior, sick pets leading to disease transmission, or left-behind waste and other sanitation issues (since any given public dog park facility may not be cleaned regularly). All this aside, other dog owners are often inattentive of their dogs — particularly in popular parks specifically designed for pets to run off leash. Some people think of these areas like babysitters for their dogs and don't stay engaged in their pets' behavior.

For these reasons, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks instead. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time. They are not open to the public — a reservation is required ahead of time, with both guests and hosts agreeing to certain protocols to ensure there aren't any unexpected surprises in the space — which solves many of these issues.

How do I know if a private Sniffspot dog park works for my dog?

Dogs enjoy Sniffspot dog parks for all kinds of different reasons — spanning from physical exercise to behavior modification training to agility or other dog sports practice and more. Whatever your primary goals, there is a Sniffspot dog park for you!

There are many different types of private dog parks available. Sniffspot hosts offer locations like designated training yards; expansive fields; large, fully-fenced off-leash dog parks; indoor facilities with lights and other amenities; dog sports courses complete with agility equipment; pools and natural water features; and more. Some even have niche amenities, such as a park splash pad and dog-friendly potable water fountains.

You can filter Sniffspot dog parks by size, fencing, and distractions that might be present via our dog park locator. If your dog doesn't have a good recall, you can visit one of our fully fenced dog parks. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our off-leash areas where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. You can also filter locations to avoid other domestic animals and people! Each listing includes the park hours of operation — and by reading reviews you can understand the status of condition, for example, if a section of the fence is in poor condition or there are any park maintenance issues.

How does Sniffspot ensure their private dog parks are safe?

While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission, and general cleanliness (often as much an issue with the person in charge as with their dog) Sniffspot dog parks are much safer environments to let your dog express their natural behaviors.

All Sniffspot bookings are private with a time buffer in between

With Sniffspot, all bookings are private — the only park users at a given time are the dog owners who signed up and dogs they bring with them in their own group. Any host dogs are required to be kept away from the spot during visits.

We also enforce buffers between bookings to ensure you aren't arriving or leaving at the same time another park user is present.

Sniffspot requires visiting dogs to have vaccinations

We require all dogs to be vaccinated or have equivalent titers.

Sniffspot listings are vetted and reviewed by guests like you

Perhaps most helpful to know exactly what you're getting into: Sniffspot dog park locations are vetted and reviewed by guests, so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog — whether they have behavioral struggles, special needs, or any other specific considerations. 93% of reviews on Sniffspot visits are 5 stars and many spots have been reviewed hundreds of times.

Hosts are able to inventory their dog parks firsthand

Hosts are in charge of keeping their park areas clean, and many go out of their way to provide visitors with exceptional experiences. Because each host can control the number of guests that visit in a given time period, they're able to maintain their spaces better than many public parks departments can. It's a win-win for everyone in the community!

How do I sign up to use Sniffspot?

The Sniffspot app makes it super easy to book time at private dog parks near you. You can create a completely free account by clicking this link! We're constantly updating our iOS and Android app experiences along with our website to provide a seamless user experience.

How can I find Sniffspot dog parks near me?

You can browse all of our Sniffspots here using our dog park locator. You can easily view information about the spots, including open times, park entrance details, and current conditions.

How much do Sniffspot dog parks cost?

Each host sets their own price, so you can check the cost per hour on the specific Sniffspot dog park listing. Most are between $5 - $15 per dog per hour.

Prices vary based on size, fencing and amenities, such as water or drinking fountains for dogs, park benches, WiFi accessibility, and so on.

What are the requirements to bring my dog to a Sniffspot dog park?

Vaccinations are required

We require that all dogs have basic vaccinations or equivalent titers. We require rabies vaccination, the equivalent of current rabies tags.

Dogs should not display aggressive behavior

We do not allow dogs with a bite history.

There are sometimes limits on number of dogs per booking

We do not have limits for dogs per owner or dogs per adult handler, though some individual park hosts set person per visit limits.

Supervision is always required

Adult supervision is required at all times.

Clean up after your pets

Dog owners are responsible for picking up pet waste to keep park areas clean (many Sniffspot private dog parks provide pet waste stations).

You must sign a waiver and agree to our policies

We require that guests sign our waiver and agree to follow park rules and policies before visiting park sites.

How can I offer my land as a private dog park?

You can learn more about how you can earn up to $3,000 per month sharing your land here. It is just as lucrative as dog boarding or other dog services — with less work for you! Park planning can be as simple as opening up your existing yard.
