My male Great Dane suffered a spinal stroke in April and is currently in weekly physical therapy to regain strength in his hind legs, which were significantly paralyzed. This yard was open and level enough for him to run independently without frequent stumbling or falling — a huge win for his recovery.
Both of my Danes are very dog-selective, so it was a big plus that we could easily check the front area for other dogs before heading out. The owners thoughtfully provided water, balls, and poop bags for pet parents, which was much appreciated. The owner was also very responsive when I had a question about waste disposal.

Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Are dog parks safe?
