The 50 acres is mostly timber, with a 7 acre pond that has water in it most of the year. It will dry up on really hot years. I do have chickens and pack goats by the house. But they are inside mesh fencing, so your dogs won’t be able to get to them. The 50 acres is completely fenced with a 3 to 5 strand Barbwire fence. It’s in good shape. It is also the property boundary. So as long as you stay inside of the fence, you will be on the property. There are not a lot of neighbors but the ones I have are nice. When you come up the driveway, you can pass the house and drive up on the hill and Park at the conex container. There is lots of wildlife on the property, and I highly recommend that your dog has some sort of tick repellent, we do have ticks in the spring time. The upper part of the driveway is not graveled, so if there’s melting snow, or a lot of ran, it can get muddy. So be prepared for that. Our new favorite sniff spot!! Easy to find, plenty of parking, trails clearly marked, tons of room to roam, sniff, swim and run. Towels were helpful for preliminary wipe down but definitely a bath at home required. Bringing friends and going again in a few days. Outstanding place.

I loved all the shade! My dogs saw the horses. I think it was my puppies first time seeing them. They both didn't bark and listened to me when I said come. It was a fun place and will for sure come back even though it's forty minutes away from my house.

It was a great size for my dogs to roam but still stay close. The grassy area was great for using the chuck-it and chasing tennis balls! Bonus, easy to find exactly where to park and great directive signs.

We really enjoyed this spot! Especially thankful for all the bug spray placed around the trail because, of course, we forgot ours. Very well maintained trails and plenty of places to sit. We only planned a short visit, but I’d love to come back for a longer visit and have a little picnic out here. We didn’t see any horses while we were here, but our dog appreciated the novel sniffs with the pasture nearby.

We had a great time at Black Pond Farm! Lots of room to run, easy parking, clear signs, and lots of extra effort to make sure both two legged and four legged visitors had fun. We will definitely be back.

This spot is beyond a 5 star! Amazing piece of property. So many details around the pond and throughout trails- so stinkin beautiful!! We have reactive pups. We were greeted upon arrival by a herd of bunnies! Definitely need to be on long leash if your pup has poor recall. Later down the trail is a safety off leash area. When we reached the ending area we did off leash completely. Drinking water at trail end also.Our pups haven’t met a horse before so they rushed to the fence barking immediately.So we long leashed until he walked away. Appreciated all the bug spray along the trails. There are multiple areas unfenced but the woods are open & public. For reactives theres always a risk of meeting strangers but I felt it was unlikely . Wish we could have peeked at the farm bcz there was a huge goose patrol! This host is amazing!

This was our first Sniffspot and we had a great experience! Our dog loved having a new place to explore off leash. You can tell the host really thought about what dogs and their humans might need while exploring their property. We made a mistake when booking and ended up arriving and departing a half hour late. The host caught up with us when he recognized we were a half hour over our time and helped us realize the mistake. He was very kind and gracious about it, which we appreciated! Luckily, there was no one booked after us so our mistake didn’t affect another Sniffspot client.
