We are a licensed dog boarding and daycare kennel established out of our walk out basement in a nature setting in mid-Missouri. We have a 2,800 sqft fenced yard equipped with agility equipment and puppy playgrounds. The fence has a dog park double gate entrance. There is an acre of yard and woods with a small trail winding through. If it's raining, the dry creek fills up with water. Inside we have an indoor tire obstacle course, slatmill, elevated beds, toys, a TV, and more. Entrance indoors would depend if your dog is friendly towards other dogs and if you can provide current proof of vaccinations.

Carole's Private Dog Park In Montgomery City

Currently it’s mostly just land - about 2 1/2 acres. Right off of 161 in Danville MO. Just a couple blocks north of I-70. There is a spigot for water. The neighbor usually has a couple of young calves and an ole momma cow. There is some shade. We plan on adding a picnic table among other things as time goes on. Fencing will be in the future.

Smithhaven is the best! 10 acres to walk about and a very clean pond for swimming (with a dock). It was easy to locate. There is a shaded area with chairs. Only 3 sides are fenced but the pond is behind the house and is set back from the road which is not heavily traveled at all. I knew Ollie would not stray far from the pond so I didn’t worry about it. We will be regular visitors to Smithhaven!

Really nice large, quiet property to go run and swim. The pond is large and clean. My dog had a great hour playing here! It is not fully fenced and it would be possible for a small dog (or very determined medium/larger dog) to get through some of the wooden fenced areas in the back, so if you’re worried about recall or your dog wandering too far consider using a long line. The pond and grassy areas are fairly private though and set back from the road so off leash is a possibility if you’re more confident in your dog’s recall. We’ll definitely be back for more playtime a day swimming!

Today was our 3rd visit to Smithhaven. It is a great place to take your dog out for a run or for swimming. The pond is very clean and there is a dock if your dog likes to dock dive. There is also a covered deck with chairs if you want to step out of the sun.

My pup loved being able to run around the property and swim in the pond. Property is as advertised - there isn't a fence at the entrance, so keep that in mind if your dog is an escape artist. But with all the grass and pond, they probably won't want to leave! We'll be back.

If your dog loves chasing toys and swimming, this is the place for you! My border collie, Dash, and I really enjoyed exploring the property. There's so much room to run! The yard is clean and there is a small shelter with picnic tables where we were able to put our things and get some shade. If your dog likes chasing geese, you might want to be a little careful around the water, as there were some geese swimming around. Fortunately for us, it wasn't an issue, and the geese avoided us and swam away when Dash jumped in. Overall, this is the best Sniffspot we've tried so far. It's quiet, clean, and spacious.

Our dogs loved the pond! Lots of big open spaces for Zoomies too :) We did see a cat by the house as entered the area which would have been quite a scene of our dogs would have spotted it! Thankfully they ran straight to the field! Beautiful space and loved that it was mostly fenced in.

What are the requirements to bring my dog to a Sniffspot dog field?

We require that all four-legged friends have basic vaccinations or equivalent titers. We do not allow dogs with a bite history. We require that guests sign our waiver and agree to follow our safety rules. Make sure to check host rules before visiting to ensure, for instance, that you are following allowable sports activities rules and any special events rules.

Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot field at the same time as me?

No. Facility rentals are for private play time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the area during visits, so this is perfect for a private adventure for you and your doggie friends, and perhaps a human friend. Hosts understand that many guests have dogs in training and are nervous owners. So when you book a Sniffspot dog field you have the entire private spot to yourself. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between time slots so you will not run into other guest dogs or a previous person when coming or leaving in the field parking area. Some hosts may have multiple fields, but there is always a buffer between fields.
