Welcome to the Hive's Sniffspot! We have just about a half acre of completely fenced in yard for you and your pups to enjoy with grass, trees, lots of great sniffs, toys, and room to run! You and your pupper can play fetch, frisbee, and tug. You can tease your pupper with our flirt pole or maybe you want to just relax on our covered porch, rocking the time away while your BFF explores the yard! We have squirrels to chase, fresh water to drink, a hose to spray your pup down with, a sprinkler and/or pupper pool to frolic in on those hot summer days, and a towel to dry them off with! Winter Holidays Sale!! $4 per hour between December 15 and January 5. After that, the price will increase to $5. Let your dog run free in our backyard that has a wooden privacy fence. They can also play or lounge under the shade of our large weeping willow tree. The lower deck has 3 lawn chairs, and the upper deck (accessible via stairs in the backyard) has 2 rocking chairs and a picnic table with 4 chairs. Use of shed in backyard is not an option (it will be locked). There is easy free street parking in our cul-de-sac. If your dog (or child) wants to use the toddler slide, feel free to pull it out onto the grass. If you would like me to make the box of children's toys available during your visit (for no extra charge), please select that option in the Extras section of your reservation. Note 1: When walking between your vehicle and the gate to our backyard, there may sometimes be other people or dogs on the street/sidewalk or in their front yards. Or there may sometimes be someone from our household leaving or arriving home (which involves walking between the front door and a car in our driveway). So please keep your dog on leash until you are inside the backyard with the gate closed (per standard SniffSpot rules). Note 2: As of November 14, our outdoor water faucets have been winterized to prevent frozen pipes. So, one free bottle of water will be provided per reservation. We will turn the faucets back on in the Spring. Easy parking on the street outside the house, and a side entry gate.  Patio heater available during the colder months.  Our yard has sunny areas, as well as plenty of trees providing natural shade and much needed coolness during those hot humid summer days.  A natural wooded yard that borders a county park on one side, with a 7ft wooden privacy fence all the way around the property, the front and neighbor side sections are double sided, so a perfect solution for reactive pups and a side entry gate.  Completely pesticide/herbicide/fertilizer free yard!  Our ground cover is soft playground wood chips, soft for all pup paws, specifically designed to be comfortable for all kinds of furbabies!  The playground chips are a natural tick repellent. We are open during rainy weather too for those of you with rain loving pups!  The overhangs, patio umbrella and tree coverage keep paw parents dry too!  Added bonuses, the chips dry quickly, there's no mud or slippery grass.  You can also enjoy a deck with a patio table, cushioned chairs, lawn chair seating and a hammock!  We also provide poop bags, doggie wipes and towels, extra dog water bowls, kiddie pools and outdoor spigot with hose for water bowl refills or hose play in the warmer months, elevated feeders for the pups who cannot bend down very well to drink and a few refreshments for humans too! Endless amounts of smells and sniffing opportunities from all the local wildlife that frequent our yard.  Good space for running, playing chase, frisbee, tennis ball, chuck it, for the energetic pups; a flirt pole and huge hard jolly ball for our herding and high prey drive pups! Plenty of space for meandering, or just lounging around under the shade or in sun spots for the more mature pups!  The public park next to us has several wooded trails, so if your pup has any energy left, it is a nice park to walk. **Our priority is opening up our space  for your furbabies to enjoy to their heart's content.  If you need to bring your human children too, please make sure they are well behaved, respectful of our property and possessions, and under your mature supervision at all times! Fredericksburg Dog Park at Kenmore Park is a fully fenced enclosure located at 1438 Kenmore Ave in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Only dogs with City of Fredericksburg registration, current rabies vaccination tags, and up to date vaccinations are allowed. The park is limited to 20 canines at a time and has strict rules in place, such as no puppies under four months old, no female dogs in heat, and leashing dogs when entering or exiting the park. Handlers are responsible for controlling their dogs, disposing of waste, and correcting any damage done. The park has amenities like a swimming pool and is open daily, closed dusk to dawn, all year long.
