Lori is a true dog lover and absolutely fabulous host. She thought of EVERYTHING- toys, cold water, poop bags and super yummy treats! My boy Deegan spent most of his time sniffing out lizards, and seemed a bit too hesitant to enjoy the pool, but it sure did look inviting. He had a wonderful time sampling the snacks and smelling a beautiful new space.

I loved that there were treats, it helped so much in getting my dogs comfortable with the pool and the new space, plenty of shade for this hot summer (and for this pregnant gal to stay cool!), and lots of fun doggy toys. She really did think of everything from poop bags, to water, etc! It was pretty quiet (we went from 10:30am-12:30pm on a Friday) but the neighbors behind did have their dogs out, and they did come up to the fence a few times (not aggressive or loud) but if you have a dog that likes to stick their head through the fence or is fence aggressive I’d caution you…maybe do a longline or retractable leash on them. 55The weather was perfect and we had a great time with Luna. She is now 7 but hadn't been swimming since she was a puppy. After about 10 minutes she finally got into the pool and she had so much fun. Lori has a great setup of toys, treats and anything else you might need. Our babies loved the chicken jerky! Be mindful for tiny curious dogs like mine, we had one get through the gate (no fault of Lori’s he’s just very tiny and curious) so as you should,you just have to keep an extra eye on them but my husband and I truly enjoyed the spot and would 10/10 recommend. Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers).
