Complete freedom to roam on 30 acres with a bonus that our land is surrounded by another 200+ acres of electric company owned land with no roads, no cars, no neighbors… just grass and forest. We have a Google Earth picture roughly showing the property lines and the driveway for you to use while exploring. We ask that you please stay out of the treeline to the right of the driveway as you drive up the hill It's the neighbor's property and it's marked by no trespassing signs. There is no house on the property. Just a camper and a shed. Park anywhere on the road or at the big circle at the top (near the farm office.) We have wifi near the brown shed at the top of the road. Wifi: HSH Password: HardStruggleHomestead Be forewarned that our land is on the side of a mountain so the walk up the driveway will be on a slow incline. Your dogs will be tired after this trip, we promise. As of April 1st there are no animals or livestock on site except for a few bee hives on the property. Most often, the owner is not on site but may do some maintenance time to time. If you see him, he will wave hello… Rest assured he will not approach your dogs unless you approach him. We understand reactive dogs.

I have a total of two acres available for SniffSpot. One is the main area that you immediately enter and is fully fenced. An additional area that is further back behind a cattle gate is available for use but unfenced at this time. We offer toys, water, water bowls, parkour equipment, lots of toys and a small pool for the summer. Long games of fetch or frisbee. Tug. If you dog loves to sniff there are lots of fox, deer and other creatures in the area to enliven your dogs nose! Easy parking available. We can even accommodate large groups or even your puppies birthday party!

🚗 LOCATED IN SYKESVILLE, MD (Carroll County) 🚨Updates🚨 🛑 We will be closing for a week or two in March for over seeding and general maintenance. Week(s) TBD but most likely the first and second week of March, or second and third 🛑 📣 We have found a few pretty big holes in our recently. Please remember we do not allow digging. If you see your dog digging, please stop them. Thank you 📣l 💩 We’ve noticed an increase in the amount of guests not picking up their dog’s poop. As a reminder, we require all guests to clean up before they leave. If you don’t want to clean up, we offer an extra called “Poop Patrol”, you can add this on to your visit and we will clean up for you. If we continue to have issues with poop not getting cleaned up, we will need to increase the price of our spot to compensate us for the additional time we have to spend cleaning up between visits. We don’t want to have to do this, so please be respectful and clean up the 💩 📍I believe the neighbors behind us got a new dog and they like to bark. Our fences do not touch, there is probably 10 feet of distance between our fences so there is no worries about fighting through the fence, but you may hear barking sometimes. They will eventually bring the dog in when the barking becomes too much 📍We laid some hay in and around the play area to help with the mud and protect the grass. 📍 We replaced the blue picnic table that was under the canopy with a couch and chair. We still have the pink picnic table with the umbrella. 🐕🦮🐕‍🦺 Bring 3 or more dogs? Message us for a discount prior to booking (let us know how many dogs in your message). ** The pool is not available to guests at this time. ** 🎉 Events / parties welcome 🎉 Large open, fenced-in backyard in a quiet neighborhood. There is lots of space for your dog(s) to run, and ample room to play fetch. There is plenty of outdoor seating to relax while you watch your dog(s) play and explore. The back right corner of the yard has a play area with a playhouse, caterpillar tunnel, tire tunnel, climbing cube, climbing dome, car bed, the biggest tire you’ve ever seen, and hammock. We also have a bunch of dog toys, including several herding balls of various sizes. Part of our yard is shady and part is sunny. You get the best of both worlds. The pool is completely fenced off from the rest off the yard. You don’t have to worry about your dog(s) accidentally falling in. Our yard is handicap accessible. There are no stairs to climb. The entrance to the backyard is a flat grassy area. The gate leading to the back yard is wide enough for a wheelchair or power chair. The yard has a slight incline, but there are no major obstacles that would prevent a wheelchair from moving around. We are located in Sykesville, MD which is about 30 mins from Baltimore and Columbia. 15 minutes from Owings Mills, Ellicott City, and Westminster.

This was our first time using Sniffspot and we are super impressed! Amazing space for our hyper and reactive goldendoodle to run around and explore! He's so used to either being on a leash or being contained in our small yard by a wireless collar that, at first, he didn't know what to do! 😂 Once he realized that he could roam free, he dashed all around. He wore himself out chasing tennis balls in about 15 minutes. He loved the giant bowl of water and repeatedly dunked his whole face in it. We'll plan in advance next time so we can purchase the option to have treats hidden in the field for him to find. Maybe next time he'll actually try the swing too 😅 The fence was great for him and we had no issues with him trying to escape. I will say, if you have a small dog who is an escape artist, there are a few sections of fencing with larger openings that they might be able to get through.

My heeler loved running around this spot! Very quiet and peaceful space, and well thought out. There are toys, a fresh water bowl, and doggy bags if needed. The fence is low in a couple areas, so if you have a jumper you might want to bring a long lead as backup just in case. Worked great for us. We’ll be back! 😊

This is a very nice place! Everything you could want or need is available! We brought our own toys and poo bags, but there is plenty there in case you forget your own things. Our girls had an absolute BLAST running around and playing fetch. Thanks so much!

Great signage for parking and the entrance. The dogs loved the agility equipment and the ample space to run. Our little dog (24lbs) was able to squeeze through the gate but luckily she didn’t run out far. We saw a few neighbors during our rental but no other dogs seen (just heard).

Such a cute sniffspot! They reached out ahead of time to let us know where to park and where the entrance was to avoid confusion, they provided dog bags/trash, there were new toys my dogs loved, clean water/bowl, a dog agility course, places for shade to sit, fully fenced in and the grass was mowed!
