Turn down this beautiful, secluded, tree-lined drive and wind your way toward 36 acres of organic sniffing and running fields, rolling pastures, wooded acreage, spring-fed stream, saltwater pool (seasonal) and stocked pond. You’ll pass a historic two-story red barn built in 1890, blooming apple trees, bee hives, horse stable (with horse and sheep), and family house to this restored, historic 1890s main house. Beautiful native trees and a historic stone smokehouse. Sky-blue chicken coop and free ranging (fenced in) chickens. Look out the east for a beautiful view of the nearby stream. Additional viewable structures include a corn shed, two line sheds, outhouse and grain bins. The entrance to this unique property is secured with an electronic gate. There are multiple seating areas for humans in both sunny and shady spots: a glider at the back of the yard by the pool, seating in the garden and ample seating on the large deck.

Paws and Smile Dog Park In Shawnee

We moved back to the KC recently and are in the process of turning our new home into a doggy wonderland. Our team of three runs a full time pet care company including doggy daycare, boarding, and drop in visits for all sorts of animal species. As pet care lovers and trainers, we understand the importance of having a private, secure space to work or be with your dog for whatever reason. Our backyard is fully fenced, at least our 5 lb chihuahua, daycare dogs, and dozens of sniffspotters have yet to find a way out. The back has a few smaller enclosed spaces, feel free to use any and all. While we try our best to maintain our yard, sometimes the grass gets high or there are fallen branches. If grass length is a deal breaker, just ask! We'll let you know if it's gotten high or is freshly mowed. There is a detached garage with an old chicken coop with a hole in the door in the middle of the yard. We're aware the hole is there, we don't have immediate plans to fix it, and we don't mind if your dog wanders into it. The yard backs up to the highway. It can get a little loud, but it's pretty much white noise to us and our dogs. Aside from the highway, it's generally a quiet spot. There is a smaller fenced in area of the backyard we use for dog training. You can use that or the main yard. There's a large circle drive at the entrance of our property. You can park inside the fenced yard (open double drive gate) or just outside of it (enter through pedestrian gate) . Near the carport are poo bags, our business cards, grooming wipes, a grooming towel, dog water bowls, and usually some extra tennis balls. Let us know if anything is missing or if trash cans are full! There's a trash can by the carport, as well as a waste station halfway down the yard (trash can and additional poo bags) and another in our smaller fenced in area. We have turned off the water spigots for the season, but happy to leave out a pitcher of water if you'd like! We don't have lighting in the backyard, but we can turn on the lights under the carport, should you ever desire. Feel free to move around chairs or table or use the swing. Note, this is our home and we're constantly working on our property. There are piles of firewood, wheelbarrows, and the occasional rake left out leaning against the shed. John's dog park is located in Clay county Missouri you go through pleasant valley to get to it. It is surrounded by Kansas City claycomo and pleasant valley but the sniff spot is actually located in Clay county Missouri it's his split by shoal Creek it has some deep areas and shallow areas for different sized dogs I am in the middle of setting up barbecue grills bonfire pits lighting it has asphalt off the road parking and you can drive your car all the way down to the spot in the woods so no need to worry about it being parked or ticketed on a city road. John's dog park is an excellent mix of the country without the drive to the country right in the middle of the city. On John's dog Park trails you also see deer turkey rabbits squirrels and much much more. There are nice cut trails to walk you and your dog will have a wonderful experience and I believe your dog well enjoy trails the timber the wide openness and the ability to run swim and play all while not being bothered by people for not having a leash although that is at your discretion and the safety of you and your dog is at your own risk although John's dog park is a very safe place to go. The property is located at the last house on a dead end road from there a private road that goes back into the woods that is asphalted and gated there's grass trees thicket mold stereos creeks waterways plenty of sunlight or shade if you need. I believe once you try it out once you will be hooked and really enjoy the property as I do myself it is always mode very nicely and cleaned up with the help of my patrons please pick up all trash and there are doggie bags provided for feces to throw in the trash We look forward to seeing you and appreciate the opportunity to make you and your canine happy Thank you sincerely, John Carter

Hi everyone, Welcome to Donna's Dog Park! We offer 2 acres of fully fenced fun for your furry friend. There are flat, wide open areas, mature trees and semi wooded spots in the yard. There is a nice mixture of both sunny and shaded areas. Your dog(s) can run, sniff, roll and play to their heart's content. There is a dog waste station with bags near the entrance. We have 2 water stations and 3 baskets filled with toys and treats for your pet. For the humans, we have 4 different seating areas. An open area on the patio with 4 tables and chairs and an umbrella that you can open/close depending on your preference. You can relax in the firepit area which has 5 Adirondack chairs. There is also a covered patio with a ceiling fan, a table and 6 chairs. There is a basket on the table with sun screen, bug spray, wet wipes and hand sanitizer for your use. Waste bags are provided in the basket as well. The third seating area is on the raised back porch which is also covered. It has an outdoor love seat, chairs and a hammock and provides a nice spot to sit and watch your dogs. We have seasonal water features (a kiddie pool and splash pad) and an agility course in the near future. Our goal is to provide a clean safe space where your dog(s) can have a pawsitive experience.
