Hi there! I have a fully fenced small backyard (but big enough to throw a tennis ball!) available to rent. I would love to offer a place for owners to let their pets roam free for a bit. It is a quiet neighborhood. The yard has 8 seats split amongst two tables and a flower garden along the entire back fence/ around the shed. There is another garden with hostas along the house as well. I have a garden hose and sprinkler for use, doggy bags, tennis balls, toys and water bowls as well as hand sanitizer. While we don't specifically have an outdoor restroom, if you need to use the restroom, message us and we can let you inside. Dogs must remain outside while you use the facilities. Stay for an hour or have an evening relaxing by the lake with your pup. Note that if your dog is more reactive around people, we recommend coming during the morning during the week. During the summer you may see neighbors out in their yards doing yard work. Hose is on for the season! It is out by the garden and we have moved the water bowl out that way too for easy refills while you are here.

Welcome! We are working hard to make our peaceful, quiet 12 acres into a beautiful park. You are welcome at any time, day or night, to walk, run, bike, ski or snowshoe with your dogs. We no longer have any pets-- no more dogs, horses, chickens, or other livestock. We are often visited by deer and groundhogs. Although we have 12 acres, the house and barn are in the middle of it, so you may see the house from many areas during your visit. Usually, we are working inside or we are away and we keep most of the curtains closed. We may use the driveway or receive a delivery. Future plans include clearing the West trails, planting more evergreens, and making an indoor play space in the barn. Our park will continue to improve -- it is a work in progress! Michigan Farm 4-acre Private Dog Park Welcome! Quiet and peaceful area. Field, woods, grassy areas. A small paddock for time-out, training, etc. A shelter area, a lot of areas to rest and sit. Benches, tables, chairs. Activities: Walk, run, off road bike, yoga, cross skiing, snowshoe, agility (coming soon: equipment, bring your own for now), herding (bring your own sheep ), search, Frisbee, scent work, etc. Wildlife: Deer, many birds- hawks, vultures, turkeys, various song birds, rabbits, raccoons, groundhogs, squirrels. Access for with trucks, trailers, equipment, sheep, dogs, etc. 14’ gate and a 4’ gate walk-in. Although the entire 10+ acres (we used to have horses, cows and sheep) is fenced (4’ farm fence), we only list it as 4 acres unfenced. Partial is I.T.C. property. For now, feel free to wonder the entire fenced 10 acres. For Your First Visit: It is a good idea to walk your dog on a leash around the perimeter until you are comfortable. Although it is fenced, it is not possible to know every dog’s individual behavior. The tornado siren goes off every first Saturday of the month at 1:00. No joy.
