Welcome to 8 Pines Farm! Purchased in November of 2024 from the family of Buddy Barnes, our family is giving it a facelift and will be welcoming you in the spring of ‘25. Currently, we have been (before the winter storms) fixing the four plank horse fence that surrounds the farm. Previously there was extensive wind damage and many of the neighbor’s trees fell on our fence in spots. The neighbor’s horses were able to get through and they stayed awhile. We’ve got them back over to their home and they’re glad to be-although they miss the good grass. There are horses on both sides and way in the back. All the horses have been friendly-my own dogs have approached them and they have been fine. Note* my dogs are NOT horse people. Within the 10 acres we have a small pasture next to the barn for the chickens. They are enclosed in a fence so nothing can get in or out. You can request that I put them up for the duration of your visit. They are able to go in the barn and in their coop/run. As of January we have three hens. There is a barn cat that we inherited. (Reba) She is wild and mostly feral. She stays away from my dogs. All the fields are available to run except the chicken area which is fenced and has signs. The pool (tentatively-we haven’t had the cover off since we purchased it) opens in May! Dogs and people are welcome.

This is an awesome spot with a very helpful host. Tons of room to explore. I booked this spot for the first time to let my dogs burn off some energy during a road trip, and they were totally exhausted after sniffing and running around for 2 hours.

Great spot and host! We were about 15 minutes late and the host allowed us to stay an extra 15 minutes. She met us at the entrance and explained the layout of the property and offered us water, snacks, and toys. Very generous! The sniffpost was huge! We could have stayed for two hours and still not have seen the whole property. There were lots of trails for dogs and humans to exercise and explore. There were several areas with woods, tall grasses, etc. and the dogs loved those areas the most. There must have been a lot of good smells! I had a hard time getting pictures because the boys were constantly on the go. Thanks again for sharing your spot with us! We hope to stop on our next road trip!

We had so much fun exploring Wiva’s world. It was the perfect place to let our boys roam. It was also very easy to stay away from the pond as the property is so large! We will be back (often!)

This was my first visit here and we had a great time. The property has lots of areas to explore and plenty of room to run. It was so nice to spend an hour with my dog without having to be vigilant about other dogs in the area. Ash is great! Communicative and accommodating. We visited for the first time over the weekend, and the dogs had a blast! There are two gates to enter the Sniffspot, and you park inside the second gate - no chance of loose dogs here! Plenty of space to run and find shade.

The property was gorgeous and the trails were a treat. Our cattle dog had a blast roaming off leash while not having to worry about other dogs. Ash was also great! Meeting the Host and getting a rundown of the property and its features was helpful and made us feel at ease using Sniffspot for the first time. Beautiful, large area that my dogs always enjoy. Sometimes there are not dogs visible or audible, but sometimes there are large dogs who bark/howl pretty aggressively at my dogs. It's not a problem if your dog doesn't mind, but might be an issue for some dog reactive dogs (it makes one of my pups pretty skittish when the owner's dogs are worked up).

Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot agility park at the same time as me?

Sniffspot only allows one booking at a time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the spot during visits. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between bookings.
