Hello! We’re Kate and Bethany, and this is our yard. We have 2 wonderful but reactive dogs and we’d love to help someone else with a reactive bud(s) have space to play and train. The fence is chain link and 5ft high, our girls haven’t cleared it yet! We are looking into privacy screening for the fence but until then it is a great spot to practice with reactivity as there’s distractions but also you can control the distance of those distractions. Our yard is available mostly during our work hours so our dogs are in the house, they may bark, but then should settle. Feel free to hang on our front porch on the bench/shade. The terrain is a mixture of gentle and steep hills, adding an element of adventure to your dog's exploration. My yard always has some shade. By about 3 p.m. the entire backyard is mostly shady. Parking is usually on the street. Occasionally, there will be parking available next to the carport. Entrance to the backyard is next to the carport on the west side of the house.

The space is simply my back yard in Sandy, but it is quite large (see photos) and used to dogs running around. I have a Chihuahua and a Weimaraner who I will keep inside during visits unless you’d like your pup to have a playmate. My chihuahua is very friendly, but my Weim takes some warming up, so just the Chihuahua is available for potential playdates.k

Both of my dogs are geriatric and enjoy the backyard to sunbathe but I do miss why I bought this backyard in the first place. For medium to large dogs, it's not a huge space but that doesn't mean they can't enjoy the peace that you get back here. If you have little dogs, it's the best place in the world for them. If you have reactive dogs, it's the best place in the world for you, Your dogs cannot get out nor fight any other dogs in the neighborhood through my fence. If they enjoy screaming at squirrels, this is your spot. They get to learn and smell all the things from my old dogs that are completely vaccinated. Opal is a pyrenees mix who is 13 years old and Rupert is a dachshund mix who is 16 in this year 2025. They love the sunshine and the snow but they are old, so please come enjoy what they sleep through most days 💜
