This is a lovely, quiet little yard. The host thoughtfully prepared all kinds of essentials, which made the visit extra convenient. Our dog is currently going through reactivity training, and this spot was perfect for letting him burn off some energy beforehand. He ran happily in the yard and had an absolutely wonderful time. Erinn provided towels, water, toys and poop bags (even set up the sun umbrella so we could eat our lunches on the deck!).
The yard, deck and overall area was immaculate. The yard is large enough so our dog exercised enough but not so big that we worried or couldn’t see what he was up to (in fact, we felt so safe that we napped in comfy Adirondack chairs while our pup roamed and played!). It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks.
