Just an FYI, we were there in fall and people were definitely hunting in the area and you could hear gunshots. If your dog is super sound sensitive and bolts easily at loud noises, might want to keep them on leash during the hunting season Alison H.

Nice secluded spot. Part of the trail runs along a road. Took less than 30m to walk the trails. Just an FYI, we were there in fall and people were definitely hunting in the area and you could hear gunshots. If your dog is super sound sensitive and bolts easily at loud noises, might want to keep them on leash during the hunting season

(FYI, be prepared for potential stinky dogs on the way home if your dogs also think swamps are great!) Part of the trail does run parallel to the road so if your dog likes to bushwhack, take care in that area that they don't stray too far and end up in the highway. Hosts were very nice.
