We live on 15 acres, and now have 1.5 acres fully fenced! It is all very flat land making for an easy stroll with your dogs. We are boarded on two edges by farm fields and two edges by neighbors. There is a trail that circles the property, with plenty of space to explore. During the summer, please take advantage of the small kiddie pool. There are also toys and chairs in the fenced area for all guests. Some seasonal things to keep in mind: Spring/fall when we have heavy rain, some areas could have standing water and/or be muddy. Mid to late summer, there are fox tails (cheat grass) that can cling to your dogs. Winter, the trails might not be plowed. There will be a 5gal bucket in the wood shed (inside the fenced area) full of water you can use to refill the two water bowls. Keep an eye out for trip hazards! Logs, sticks, uneven ground and holes.

The 50 acres is mostly timber, with a 7 acre pond that has water in it most of the year. It will dry up on really hot years. I do have chickens and pack goats by the house. But they are inside mesh fencing, so your dogs won’t be able to get to them. The 50 acres is completely fenced with a 3 to 5 strand Barbwire fence. It’s in good shape. It is also the property boundary. So as long as you stay inside of the fence, you will be on the property. There are not a lot of neighbors but the ones I have are nice. When you come up the driveway, you can pass the house and drive up on the hill and Park at the conex container. There is lots of wildlife on the property, and I highly recommend that your dog has some sort of tick repellent, we do have ticks in the spring time. The upper part of the driveway is not graveled, so if there’s melting snow, or a lot of ran, it can get muddy. So be prepared for that. Our dogs loved exploring Black Pond Farm. We played with the balls at Club Zoomies and walked on the DNR trails without seeing any other people. The amenities were lovely and everything was clearly signed. As mentioned in the description, I would definitely advise putting your dog on leash before even getting out of the car if they have prey drive- there were loose domestic rabbits right near the parking area and before we even noticed them there, the dogs were off. Thankfully the bunnies were quicker. As soon as we left the parking area, there were much fewer distractions and the fencing allowed the dogs to explore while also keeping them nearby.

We loved Black Pond Farm! The trails were in great condition. There was a table to sit at and a dog washing station plus dog toys at one of the ponds. Our dogs loved looking at the wildlife and the horses. We'll definitely go there again.

Black pond trail was great! Very well marked with signs and amenities (towels, water, sand and dog waste). We used the Club Zoomies section and followed the DNR trails for awhile too (however, they are public). Overall great time for our dogs to run around.

They say every dog has their day. Well, today was Rocky’s and it was at Black Pond Farm! He loved running the trails and jumped in the pond. But nothing compared to Club Zoomies! He played fetch and cooled off quickly with the hose. We had a hard time getting him to leave. Will 100% be back as soon as we can. The Halloween decorations were such a cute touch and we were happy to see that there were some spare balls to use as we lost one of ours in the pond!

Directions were clear. Loved all the little details! Our pups had a fantastic time. As stated in the listing, the area isn’t 100% fenced so just be aware if your pups wander or don’t have great recall. We could see horses from the parking area and could hear chickens from places in the spot.

Really lovely spot - mix of trails and a nice field. Tons of little touches that made it an extra special visit. Loved the s’more station at the end. This place is MAGICAL!!!!!!! I already can’t wait to come back. We had so much fun walking the trails. The wooded are like a little fairyland and the field area was perfect for fetch.
