I felt very relaxed and safe the whole time and it allowed me to enjoy our time, explore and focus on the FUN aspect of our Visit.... A large stump mid-yard provided a perfect platform for practicing "hop up" and "off." Host was kind and welcoming on text (we didn't meet in person), and put out ice water, dog toys and treats!
The backyard has stockade fencing on one side and a dense line of pine trees on the other, but it does open directly into a neighbor's property, which looks like an extension of host's yard. There's also no barrier to your doggo going out in front of the house if you're not keeping an eye on them. No problem if your dog has a good recall, as Otie does, but it's something to consider depending on your individual pup.
Otie had tons of fun running around, sniffing around a new place, and rolling in the cool grass. I think it would also make a good play yard for a couple of dogs. We'll be back!Lynn C.

Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks.
