Large cottonwood trees and a deck for the owner to sit in with patio chairs. Fully landscaped once summer comes. But ok for dogs to run free while the snow protects all my perennials. In the south end of the city and right off St. Mary’s Rd. Heated pail so dogs have fresh water while they run and enjoy themselves. Not a really tall fence but it prevents my Great Dane from leaving the yard. Back yard faces a dead end back lane. So very little traffic and very slow speed as the road is not paved back there. GREAT for our reactive dog! We even got to do some training watching the other animals from afar (on leash at a safe distance). So much sniffing, our dog was exhausted after about 1.5 hours :)

What a nice farm indeed! Gracie and I had a great time. The farm was easy to find. Leesa sent us a map and description of the trails beforehand. She also made sure her dogs were inside, which we appreciated. There were so many trail options and lots to explore. We went in the morning to beat the heat, but most of the trails were nicely shaded anyways. The bugs weren’t bad at all! Gracie loved being able to cool off in the ponds. We will definitely be back!

Upon arrival Leesa promptly greeted us and advised us how to enter and navigate her very well maintained, and groomed bush trails. Her property is beautiful and our dogs had an absolute blast, running off leash either on trail or in the deep snow just off trail. After about an hour of exercise our dogs were happy and exhausted. We went back to her barn loft to have a water break and relax, overlooking her pasture and frozen pond. I will absolutely be returning and would 100% recommend this trail to anyone hoping to run their dog on or off leash with or without their furry friends.

Are dog parks good for dogs?

It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks.
