55Stopped at the Animal Ranch to get out of the car and stretch my legs. Giving 5 stars because host accuracy describes property to a T. On that note, this is undeveloped land — a dried creek bed with lots of thorny plants all around. These will shred your calves unless you’re wearing thick cotton pants. These plants are native to the area so not appropriate for host to cut down, especially 4 acres worth. Ryan was super responsive so that much is appreciated. My dog is a princess and wanted to leave after 15 minutes.Quynh L.

55True to the other reviews, this is a dry creek bed with thorny weeds interspersed around in it, and the way leading to the creek bed is all tall grass and weeds as well. My dog absolutely loved it for being able to play fetch on the creek bed, and part of it hadn't yet dried up for the season so he got to roll around and lay in the mud to cool off. He will be needing a bath tonight, but he had fun. I recommend bringing water and a bowl to put it in so your pup doesn't try drinking the mud like mine did, lol. Where to enter was a bit unclear, we initially went into the smaller backyard before finding the gate to the left of the garage.Kip S.

55Nice spot for some good sniffs! Very easy to come and go. There are some prickly bushes around but you can navigate around them and get to plenty of space to play fetch on open land. Be mindful of a few foxtail bushes around the property that are just starting to dry out, especially if your pup really likes to get in the bushes. My pups and I had a great time! No shade so bring a hat and some water for the pups on those hot days :) Roslyn T.

55Perfect and exactly what we needed! As a professional dog trainer I wanted to find a place where I could let my dog explore the desert and play but also get some training in without running into other people and off-leash dogs. I love that my dog and I were able to make our own trail and just spend time in the peace and quiet at the top of the hill just watching the world go by. This SniffSpot is clean and safe. The host is the best and provided people and dog snacks/water, a box of dog toys, and a first aid kit. Will definitely be visiting again! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Kaylea D.

55What an amazing place for dogs, and their people! 50 acres feels endless, my pup hasn’t run like she did today for years! I tried to get good pictures of her, but she never stopped running, too much to see! Excellent communication from Host and they’ve set out biscuits and water, etc. if you’re looking for a literally private dog park, this is it.Angela M.

55I’m thrilled with Ella being so happy, we needed a place without other dogs where she can roam freely!
Many trails lead uphill, I suggest wearing hiking shoes. It’s not muddy at all but the ground is soft soil. Angela M.

55Ella explored farther today and really got some running in! She was panting and we were thrilled to see that the Host put additional water for pups and people up the hill. They were in the shade, under a tree, it looked like a little oasis. Angela M.

FAQ about our Silver Springs dog parks
Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 96% of reviews on Sniffspot visits in the Silver Springs area are 5 stars.
How do I know if a dog park works for my dog?
You can filter Sniffspot dog parks by fencing and distractions. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our 23 fully fenced dog parks in the area. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our 1 off leash areas where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby.
