Our fenced in property with a orchard and large open space has been adored by many dogs and other pets we have cared for many years. We respect and understand how important it is to interact with your dog in a protected safe area with out worry of having a stressful issue with your dog and another dog or person. We live on a private road and the traffic is limited. All dogs that visit our yard appear to go home happy and content and always run straight for the yard when they come back!

Watkins Woods Private Dog Park on Mt. Kearsarge

Fully fenced yard on Mt. Kearsarge in Warner, NH bordering Rollins State Park located at the historic property settled by the Watkins family in the early 1790’s. Abner Watkins was a founding father of Warner and a soldier in the Revolutionary War serving under Ebenezer Webster, father of Daniel. They fought in the Battles of Bennington and Saratoga and came back victorious. Abner with his wife Ruth and family retired up here on the mountain and is buried at the small cemetery down the road. Enjoy this peaceful spot surrounded by beautiful oak, maple, birch, pine & ash trees and let your dogs run, play and find sticks. I’m ok if they dig! That’s what dogs love to do! Plenty of shade and a new picnic table. Right next door is the Rollins State Park toll gate to go up Mt. Kearsarge and also access to miles of hiking trails. Fresh drinking water for the dogs! We also have about an acre of wooded trails that were created for Ruby and her brother’s daily sniff and strolls. Ruby was dog reactive which limited her outings, we would like to give other dogs the opportunity to be a dog with no stress and just be a dog. Random dog toys, balls, ropes, etc...for use as well! Also has a tree house, with stairs, which is always a fun spot for your pup to be able to look out over the back woods for possible intruders ;)! Deck is also open and is not off limits. We do have a year old pup, Maevis, who can join in, if requested. She loves all dogs and loves to play and show her yard off to her new friends!

Have a campfire or cookout. Will be adding more level ground and clearing. There is a nice flat spot away from the road along the creek for ball tossing. And a nice flat upper level. Plenty of wood laying around for a campfire. We will be adding some fire rings soon. Please be patient as we make this an even better sniff spot. Filling and leveling more ground as we go.
