Our fenced in property with a orchard and large open space has been adored by many dogs and other pets we have cared for many years. We respect and understand how important it is to interact with your dog in a protected safe area with out worry of having a stressful issue with your dog and another dog or person. We live on a private road and the traffic is limited. All dogs that visit our yard appear to go home happy and content and always run straight for the yard when they come back!

Abner Watkins was a founding father of Warner and a soldier in the Revolutionary War serving under Ebenezer Webster, father of Daniel. They fought in the Battles of Bennington and Saratoga and came back victorious. Abner with his wife Ruth and family retired up here on the mountain and is buried at the small cemetery down the road. Enjoy this peaceful spot surrounded by beautiful oak, maple, birch, pine & ash trees and let your dogs run, play and find sticks. I’m ok if they dig! That’s what dogs love to do! Ruby’s Retreat for Reactive Dogs is a place where a dog can come to be dog. We have about .75 acres fenced with a ramp, oversized dig box, hideout, tether tug, (available upon request)kiddie pool and or splash pad. We also have about an acre of wooded trails that were created for Ruby and her brother’s daily sniff and strolls. Ruby was dog reactive which limited her outings, we would like to give other dogs the opportunity to be a dog with no stress and just be a dog. Hi friends! As a disabled person myself, I know how hard it was when I was in an apartment setting to get all the exercise my babies needed. We are offering this month (and hopefully after!) an honour system — if you say you need it, we believe you, and invite you to book at a discount and use our partially fenced 1+ acre with your furry friends. We are not completely wheelchair accessible, however, there is accessibility right up to the gate and if you book a time when the owners are home we’d be happy to help anyone as needed. The pasture gently slopes and then the second pasture connected slopes a bit more dramatically. :-) Thanks for reading and please share our listing with anyone you know locally who would benefit from a place to be able to bring their pet who may not otherwise be able to afford it. 🥳

New sniff spot with many plans in the works. We plan on providing fresh water at some time. Adding more level ground. Clearing more tall grass. Bring your dogs and some chairs. Have a campfire or cookout. Will be adding more level ground and clearing. There is a nice flat spot away from the road along the creek for ball tossing. And a nice flat upper level. Plenty of wood laying around for a campfire. We will be adding some fire rings soon. Please be patient as we make this an even better sniff spot. Filling and leveling more ground as we go.

We are conveniently located off of Interstate’s 89 and 91, great for travelers who are passing through and whose pups need a break from the car ride! We have 2 lovable dogs who enjoy our fully fenced in front yard. We have 2 shade trees, water available as well as chairs for their humans. We are located in a neighborhood with frequent dog walkers and kids playing.
