We have one full acre fully fenced with 4' high goat/sheep woven wire fencing. About 1/3 of it is open grassy field and the other 2/3 is nice shady woods. We in the process of over seeding the field to make the grass more lush this spring. We have added a few surprises down in the woods to make it more fun for our guests and their fur babies. There is an open lean-to where there are dog toys like frisbees and balls availble. There is also be a cute backdrop as a photo op for the dogs.

Sniffspot Welcome to Tell Tail Farm! A private 2 acre-fully fenced yard with horses and chickens coming home in spring of 2025. We have an additional 3 acres of woods and a pond that is UNFENCED at the back of the property that is accessible through a gate that you are also welcome to explore. We get plenty of wild animals in our yard and have dogs of our own so there are PLENTY! Of smells for your pets to enjoy. All humans and pets will stay inside for your visit unless requested otherwise. When we get a lot of rain, a small pond forms in the back of the yard (pictured) but it’s not there in the extreme summer heat. I have a kiddy pool, water bowls and a hose outside that is usable in the spring, summer and fall. Toys, poop bags, chairs for humans, a nice patio to sit on, picnic table, and a fire pit patio with string lights all available for use! Hand sanitizer is also available and if it rains, we will open up the garage for a rain shelter with chairs! We do not use any pesticides or fertilizer on our property but will spray for ticks in the spring and summer. We cut the grass 1-2x per week but even more in the spring to keep the grass super short and our house sits on top of a hill for added exercise. Trails throughout, 3 acre lake, fenced in 24 acres. So much to do and explore. This is a natural area including woods and lake. Recall is still important. A great spot for recall training. We check fence regularly the best we can and I run 4x4 each morning to try and move out any wildlife. However It is such a large space if your pup does not stick with you. There could be times during day when we may miss if a critter has dug out under fence or branch has fallen. You know your dog(s) so use your best judgement if you feel they will be safe. It really is such an awesome space, we have learned after buying it is actually an old sandstone rock quarry! You will see lots a rocks throughout trails. Please watch steps for rocks and roots on trails. We have a small farmyard with ducks, chickens and pigs. They are fenced in their own area. Main trail in woods comes out behind the farm. If you are unsure of how dogs will react please leash while passing to ensure safety of all. We hope you and your dog(s) have the best time and enjoy 🐾 Hours- because of the way the property is set up we can only regularly open certain times. Diggy and Anne had a wonderful time! Spacious and safe with a small park feel. Plenty of toys to keep them running and Leslie even had some homemade treats for us. The sniff spots were fun and well placed throughout the area, encouraging the dogs to seek them out. Plenty of seating for everyone. We live in the city and our yard is not fenced. The private time in Hickory Hollow gave our dogs the freedom to run and play off leash without having to worry about other dogs who may be aggressive or them wandering off. We had a blast at Hickory Hollow today! Abby loved being able to run off leash in the fully fenced enclosure. My husband and I enjoyed the beautiful property with walking paths and a lovely covered seating area. Abby really enjoyed the homemade treats they have there - so thoughtful! What a beautiful day at this lovely property! Abby has plenty of room to run and chase after her frisbees. The secure fencing means she is free to run off leash and I don't have to worry. The owners are wonderful and thoughtful. A water bowl and even a little wading pool are available at no extra charge. Homemade dog treats and an adorable photo-op are provided as well. Abby even dropped her frisbee to sniff around in the woods - this almost never happens! I highly recommend a visit here!

This place is top-notch. The host has thought of everything. It is a beautiful wooded area with a nice grassy area as well. Multiple purpose for all types of dogs and their favorite activities.
