Zoomieland offers more than an acre of flat, open, fenced-in doggie joy and is spacious enough to reach full-on sprint speeds to get those zoomies out. Located just blocks from the heart of downtown Fountain Inn, including dog friendly places such as The Mill and Voodoo Brewing, and one mile off of 385, Zoomieland offers easy street parking along the fence line, near the rear of the Younts Center and Excel Academy. Entrance is the small gate next to the parking lot. The field features some mature oak and pecan trees, providing shaded spots throughout the day. Throughout the day, the shade moves so please feel free to move the chairs to where you and your pups will be happiest. Lastly, summer evenings are particularly enjoyable, full of shade, cooler temperatures and lightning bugs at dusk. And now something NEW - enjoy Zoomieland under the lights until 10PM. Let your dogs get their zoomies out after dark! Please be aware that not all areas of the field are illuminated - one corner and areas around the trees are mostly dark. Just some little warnings: * There are some prickly-type plants in the vegetation - I recommend that people avoid those areas. * Watch your step as the field has some uneven areas and some active ant mounds. * Zoomieland is near train tracks and twice a day a train passes by and is quite loud. * The adjoining parking is usually very quiet but there is a church service on Sundays at 11:20 so expect people walking nearby around 11am and noon-ish. * There is a daycare nearby and throughout the day, little ones play outside. * Lastly, there are times when the Younts Center has an event, where there are many people walking by. It's not often but it can happen on the weekends. Also, I'm not a stickler for time. If you arrive 10 minutes late, then stay an extra 10 minutes. If you arrive 5 minutes early, go on in. If you're running late, check with me and I'll let you know if it's okay to stay any later. After dark, we also have lighting around the entire fence for visibility. No other dogs can be seen. But our neighbor has a small dog that may bark occasionally. That dog is always kept in a small pen, so the dog cannot get even close to our fence. Upon upon request, back door blinds can be drawn for complete privacy. Very quiet neighborhood. We’ve got a great fenced in yard in a quiet safe neighborhood with a super comfortable deck with chase lounges, table and chairs and a couch for you to enjoy while your dog chases the squirrels and chipmunks. We have water bowls on site as well as tennis balls to toss and play with your dog. There is even a basketball hoop! (Bring your own basketball ball). Bring your lunch and picnic on our deck! Table with umbrella is on the deck! Deck is handicap accessible! Sniff spot yard has driveway that provides a solid surface for ease of handicap accessibility! Entering the spot: The gate is to the right of our garage, it just swings open and is held shut by a metal loop. There is no lock. Parking: Our driveway is steep and curves. You can park in the driveway in front of the garage and then back into the space beside our truck to drive down the driveway when leaving, I do not recommend backing down it. I am also happy to open our garage to give you more room if needed. We used to have a F250 and were able to navigate without issues. You can also park in the culdesac in front of our house. Getting Here: We live in a gated community so I will have to call in a pass (this is why I require a 2 hour notice for visits). I will reach out when you confirm your visit to request a first and last name to call in a pass for you to enter. Use YMCA Camp Thunderbird’s address to be sure you go to the main gate of our neighborhood. The gate is manned 24/7. Give them your name and our address and they will provide you with a paper pass. Please note, you will be required to show them your drivers license to enter. Restroom: If you need to use the restroom, please just send me a message so that I know you may be inside. To access it, use the doors closest to the hose in the back yard. There is a half bathroom inside immediately to the left. Please note this amenity is only available if we are home.
