Welcome to Feathered Fields! We are a family run farm with almost 6 acres of lush field for your pups to run and play. As a newly established “venue” we welcome feedback and ideas to expand on a comfortable, safe and fun experience for you and your pets! Currently we do not have electricity or water access on the field so we encourage all guests to bring proper hydration for your pets. Poop bags and a trash can are provided (see photos) but all guests are encouraged to provide their own supplies of course, if possible. Designated parking area for guests will be marked with RESERVED signs and a temporary key code will be assigned to guests for accessing the field during their allotted time. Feel free to bring your pups’ favorite toys! Firearms and live fires are not permitted on the property at any time! If desired, guests can bring chairs or sit back on the logs in the field and enjoy the sun while your pups have the time of their lives! Our property frequents deer so I’m sure they will enjoy the sniffortunities around the field!

North Star Ranch Private Dog Park In Archer

Hello, We would like to welcome our dog friends to our private fully fenced wooded dog park we named The North Star Ranch. The North Star is positioned right over our entrance, and you might see it if you stay at the ranch late. Please bring your own water, snacks, poo bags. Also we have no trash collection, so please take your waste home with you. This is what we do as well. Consider a visit to our ranch a visit to nature that has been fenced in for your dogs’ convenience. And as in all Florida woods, there are some safety concerns you need to be aware of before your reservation. There are more or less visible stumps and vines all over the ranch. There are also some prickly cacti, buckthorn bushes and brambles. Tree logs and trunks have been arranged in some areas as edging for trails. The ranch is a work in progress and we are very slowly cutting prickly plants back to where they aren’t in dogs’ faces, but it’s taking us a while. Long pants and closed toed shoes are very much recommended. We also suggest tick spray if you’re worried about them. We find that in winter time they are rare. Mosquito cream is available during summer months at the gate. We recommend you use it. There is a 20 liter canister of water for dogs available at the picnic table along with a black rubber bowl. There is a back gate at the ranch and we don’t suggest venturing out of, as the back of the property is NOT fenced, and trails are grown over. Please stay in the fenced-in area only for your safety! We hope you and your dog enjoy lots of sniffing while you’re either strolling along or sitting down in one of our picnic areas. There is some agility equipment available at your discretion. Please use it wisely and look out for your pet’s safety first. Wilderness warning! ⚠️ Snakes have been spotted at the ranch several times. Our dogs run through the ranch daily, so wildlife is used to human and canine presence. This was their home before we enclosed it, so we respect their presence and move around them if we spot them. To this date we haven’t had any negative experience with the wildlife, and we surely want to see you stay safe as well. Keep your eyes open if you veer off the main paths, and have some treats in your pocket to help call your dog back to you in case of a snake sighting. The sightings definitely drop off in the colder months. We hope you enjoy our ranch as much us we do! Our dogs absolutely love it and we lovingly nicknamed this place our “sanity ranch”. Enjoy!

We’ve got a big open yard that’s partially fenced for zoomies, fetch marathons, and grass-rolling galore. Behind that, you’ll find 9 acres of untamed woodland adventure-think of it as your dog’s version of a wilderness hike (currently a little wild, but hey, that’s part of the charm!). For pups who like a cozy hangout, we’ve got a fenced, screened kennel area equipped with sprinklers, fans, sunshades, and fresh water…basically the doggy VIP lounge. Small pups especially love it here! Our own dogs can happily chill in their kennels while you’re visiting, so your pup gets the space all to themselves. ✨ All we ask: please scoop the poop so the next furry guests can enjoy their time too. The Salvaged Sandhill

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING IN ENTIRETY BEFORE BOOKING: This property is 1.7 acres total, but has approximately 1.5 acres of usable space for dog recreation. __________ Description The front yard is mostly shaded and grassy. The north yard has been planted in native plant species--please do not allow dogs to dig in this area or tear up the delicate native plants as it has taken a lot of time, money, and energy to semi-restore this area for native wildlife and pollinators. Its a great area for sniffing, running, and playing games of "ball search." There is a garden on the SW side of the property that is not fenced off from the rest of the yard, and a large mulched area behind it. Currently there is a large sandy area due to a septic tank and drainfield project. Native seeds were planted recently, and they are starting to germinate. Please keep pets off of this area for now. Please keep dogs out of the garden beds, but running through the mulched area behind it is fine. _______ Wildlife There is a gopher tortoise burrow along the fenceline near the mulched area. Gopher tortoises are a state threatened species. It is a crime to disturb this state protected species, and dogs are one of the biggest threats to their populations. If ANY disturbance is found near the gopher tortoise burrow, the host will contact the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and pursue appropriate venues to press charges. KEEP DOGS AWAY FROM THE GOPHER TORTOISE AND ITS BURROW. The host of this property does not allow any harassment of native wildlife (with the exception of gray squirrels*) including moles, pocket gophers, snakes, and the resident gopher tortoise. *Chasing gray squirrels is alright, as they have become a nuisance to the solar panels and roof.* No venomous snakes have been seen on the property for at least 4 years, when the current owners bought the home, but the host recommends staying away from the mostly unused blue shed in the backyard, next to which there is wood piled, as this makes good escape cover for snakes, though none have been seen in this area yet. _________________________ Dog Wash and Training Area CURRENTLY GROWING NEW GRASS, PLEASE AVOID THE SANDY PART OF THIS YARD AND ACCESS THROUGH THE BACK PORCH. The chainlink fenced area behind the house is a training and wash area. There is some agility equipment laying in the porch and an area of rocks where you can bathe your dog. There is a hose and usually soap on the windowsill. A water station is also available in this area, though you may have to turn on the faucet. _________________ Dog Poop Cleanup A poop scoop is available in the dog wash area and a small, white poop trash bin is next to it. If the bin is full, or poop is far from this small cleanup station, use poop bags instead. Poop bags are available in the black, diamond-shaped dispenser to the left of the garage. Please place used poop bags in the large black trash bin by the gate on your way out. Other than that, enjoy your time here! We live on five acres. Tucked away off of 27 or (SR 45) on a dirt road. If you are planning a day at the springs, we are located 20 min from Poe, blue, Ginnie and Rum Island springs. The property is not completely fenced. We have a picnic table under a muscadine grape vine or a open fire pit area to relax. If I am home I will give access to my restroom in my house. I have 2 small dogs, 2 cats, chickens, ducks and rabbits. They will be secured in enclosures before you arrive. I am starting a hobby pond, it does have a liner with water and pump, but that's it. Not great for swimming, but makes for a giant bone shaped water bowl. You can park next to carport and have fun with your fur baby. P.S. basket on side of carport will include doggie bags, hand sanitizer, bug spray for humans, doggie treats, cooler with cold water. I have water bowls available. Access to water hose as well. Old towels to clean paws and shoes.
