55My pup loved this spot. He got to wander in grass, sniff the trails of some animals and most importantly safely be off leash. For me I would have preferred a few areas with a bit of shorter grass so I could accompany him to other areas.Tiffany W.

55Great clean open grassy space with fences on all sides. Perfect for off-leash training. Multiple dogs in neighboring lot which provided distractions to help with training but wall is high enough to keep dogs separate and not visible. Owner had great customer service, was communicative, and easy to work with. Kristen W.

55We loved our hour at Tee’s! The spot was nice and big, with plenty of room for our big pups to run around and explore. Was awesome since it was their first time having access to that kind of space. The grass is very tall, which our dogs loved. We were not sure where the back boundary was of the property, but there was a fence that the dogs ran back behind and we assume that was too far. The pond is closed but unfortunately they were still able to get in it, which I felt badly about. It was very muddy, but they ran around so much after that they were pretty much dry by the time we coaxed those exhausted pups into the car. We really loved it, and the dogs had a great time. Now will know what spots to try and steer them away from. Can’t wait to return!whitney r.

55This place was so entertaining for my 2 year old Cattle Dog! There’s so much room to really run around. So much in fact that if you don’t have fantastic recall with your dog, then I’d suggest keeping them on a long line! If your dog tends to be barrier reactive, I would suggest staying leashed until you pass the entry area where there are multiple barking dogs on the other side of the fence, some chained some not. I’m definitely coming back!Monique E.

55Sniffspot owner is a great communicator. We loved the open pasture and had a great time. The grass is thick, so next time, I'll wear hiking boots over sneakers. We did hear the dogs barking upon entry but I kept my dog on a lead while we passed, so no problem. We also saw the 2 huge cows. My dog was very curious and went to see them near the fence a few times. I will definitely come back. Thank you! Tammy T.

55Great space if you have a dog that loves fetch. Our dog had a great time chasing the ball in the tall grass. If you have an explorer, there are definitely places in the fence that a curious dog could sneak through. Not a problem for us though. We also kept our dog on leash while walking past the neighbor dogs at the front of the property. Betsy C.

FAQ about our Westwego dog parks
Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 96% of reviews on Sniffspot visits in the Westwego area are 5 stars.
How do I know if a dog park works for my dog?
You can filter Sniffspot dog parks by fencing and distractions. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our 66 fully fenced dog parks in the area. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our 9 off leash areas where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. You can also filter locations to avoid other domestic animals and people. We also recommend reading reviews and reaching out to the host with any questions.
