Texas Husky Rescue, Inc. was created in May 2009 as a non-profit 501(c)3 animal rescue organization that is run entirely by volunteers and does not have a paid staff or a shelter. Texas Husky Rescue, Inc relies solely on volunteer foster families to take huskies into their homes until permanent, qualified, and loving homes can be found. Texas Husky Rescue, Inc. is a responsible animal adoption agency and ensures that none of our dogs will ever contribute to the overpopulation of dogs in our community. The work of Texas Husky Rescue, Inc. is supported by tax-deductible contributions by individuals, corporations, and grants. Our initial goal when we began in 2009 was to save 30 huskies from area shelters. We have rescued over 2,500 and counting.

SAVING AUSSIES IN THE DFW & SURROUNDING AREAS Two young women were helping out with two separate rescues when they crossed paths trying to help a dog for one another. They quickly became close friends. After they agreed that they each had a conflict of interest with the rescue they were helping they decided to work together to start their very own rescue and that was the day NTASR was born. While the president has amazing experience in the breed, the vice president has great experience in animal welfare administration so together they made the perfect pair. NTASR helps Australian Shepherds, Border Collies, and mixes of the two. They are open to working with other working or herding dogs as well depending on the circumstances. Don't think for a second these two women won't jump to help a dog in emergent need. Thus far, several other breeds have made their way through the rescue because of their kind and caring hearts including a doodle, a dachshund, a frenchie, and a shar pei. NTASR takes behavioral and medical dogs and gets them the appropriate rehab to be able to find them the perfect forever home. Aussies are such special breeds and deserve very particular and experienced homes.

Dallas Street Dog Advocates (DSDA) is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that was formed by volunteers who care about the loose and stray street dog problem in Dallas. What we have learned from our experience in rescuing dogs off the street is that many of them are highly adoptable. They yearn to love and be loved and deserve to be healthy, happy and have a home of their own. We have also learned that the people that live in the areas, where the stray dog problems are the worst, want our help. They are instrumental in helping us catch the strays by establishing feeding schedules and routines. They also tell us about the dog's history. Some are left when their owners move out. Some are tossed from moving cars. Some are born on the street to dogs that have been abandoned. The list goes on and on. If you can think of it, it has happened. The people have watched these dogs die of starvation, dehydration and heat stroke. They have watched them suffer after being hit by a car and left lying on the street. The dogs and the people living in these conditions need our help. These dogs are typically socialized and do very well once they are rescued off the streets and given time to decompress. Dallas Street Dog Advocates goal is to rescue as many adoptable dogs off the streets as we can find foster homes for and have the funds to care for. After they are healthy and have lived in a foster home, then we find them forever homes. We see ourselves as a "bridge" between the homeless street dogs and their forever families. We also want to serve the people who live amongst this problem by offering them dog food, flea and tick prevention, education on caring for their dogs and connecting them with available resources to have their dog spayed or neutered. Together with the help of our volunteers and supporters, coupled with our passion and love for dogs, we will make a difference in Dallas one dog, one home, and one community at a time.

The Pawerful Rescue was established in 2019 as a 501c3 nonprofit animal rescue, but our founder, Stephanie, had already been rescuing strays for years. We all have a friend like that‚ don't we? No matter where she went, Stephanie would find an animal in need. It wasn't until Stephanie moved to South Los Angeles, though, that she experienced an overwhelming number of animals in need. From that point, The Pawerful Rescue grew organically. What was once just a person picking up strays and trying to reunite, vet, or rehome these little souls, morphed into an organization that is made up of like-minded individuals making a difference. Duke Hemstreet joined the rescue in 2020 and has been an instrumental part in the rescue flourishing. Our rescue has expanded into Texas, where we dream of building a sanctuary for those fur babies that need a place to call home. Our goal has always been to find the perfect home for our rescues, but if that perfect home never comes, they get to live out their days with us! We Rescue the Ones That Need the Most Rescuing! Every rescue is different. Some are breed specific or even age specific. We've rescued everyone from a five-pound miniature Poodle, to a 100-pound paralyzed Great Dane. We gravitate toward animals with extreme medical, behavioral, and other special needs as well as senior dogs. They aren't the easiest cases, but certainly the most fulfilling to watch transform. As The Pawerful Rescue continues to grow, we look forward to sharing every part of the journey with you.

As the Lone Star Dog Ranch began to develop a following on social media, Renee Eden was contacted by multiple rescue groups asking for her help and expertise in rescuing dogs on death row, discarded breeder dogs, and dogs in shelters. She found that she had the facility (the Lone Star Dog Ranch), the expertise, the passion and energy to devote time to dogs in need. In 2014 Dog Ranch Rescue, Inc. was founded as a 501(c)(3) non-profit. Dog Ranch Rescue is a separate non-profit business from the Lone Star Dog Ranch boarding facility. The rescue has it's own building and property adjacent to the Lone Star Dog Ranch property in Anna, TX. The rescue was formed to rescue and rehabilitate dogs in need from various sources, such as puppy mills, local shelters and strays. The rescue provides medical help for each dog, houses them, rehabilitates, socializes and trains them. The rescue accepts donations from the public that help cover all aspects of the cost associated with this process. When the dogs are restored to good health, spayed, neutered and have all of their needs met physically and socially we take the necessary steps to rehome them. Each home that a dog is placed in goes through a rigorous application and review process to ensure a positive outcome. If the placement of the dog is not a good fit the dog is accepted back into the rescue and the process begins again. Since our inception in 2014 over 2,000 dogs have come through the door of Dog Ranch Rescue and gone on to enjoy a very happily ever after.

We are a network of volunteer foster homes, which means all dogs adopted through us come from loving, caring homes straight to you. Since we don't use a holding facility, our dogs come to their new homes calm, relaxed, and ready for a new life, rather than being nervous and traumatized from the noise and chaos of a shelter. We evaluate, rescue, and rehabilitate abandoned Border Collies, as well as other herding breeds, and find homes that will love and cherish them forever. All of our dogs have been fully vetted to include all vaccinations, heartworm test (and treatment, if necessary), spay/neuter, and a microchip with Border Collie Rescue & Rescue contact information. Upon adoption, you will be provided with physical proof of all treatments and veterinary reports, along with a rabies tag and chip information. We will never withhold any animal information and are happy to disclose exactly where we got our dogs from and when. Our dogs have been temperament tested and reside in foster homes with active and diverse families just like yours! Our dogs are crate trained and housebroken and have received basic obedience training using only positive reinforcement techniques such as leading, shaping, R+, and counter-conditioning. We believe a rescued dog brings experiences with them when rescued, and with our loving rehabilitation, they become perfect life partners. Their backgrounds may vary from breeders to farm dogs to strays but all of them deserve the unconditional love they will be glad to give their new families. We bring them into our homes and rehabilitate them by providing love, structure, and routine. We mend wounds and clean them up both emotionally and physically. We know you have many choices of rescues to choose from. However, we believe once you get to know us, you will find our rescue family to be the perfect match for you and your family. Border Collie Rescue & Rehab is a 501(c)(3) registered rescue.

We want to tell about our small but growing animal volunteer animal rescue, foster, rehab and adoption organization. Our mission started several years ago. We try to save those animals who have no hope or a tomorrow ahead of them. We take in animals and foster and care for them. Most of our animals find loving and permanent homes through our diligent screening process. Because of the tremendous need, we are growing our organization and naming it in honor of our puppy who crossed over to the Rainbow Bridge at a very young age. We hope and believe that with your help we can touch many more lives and do more than we have already done.

At Saving Hope we would love to see that every animal knows love and kindness. No animals should have to endure needless pain and suffering. We are providing a voice to those that need it most. The animals that sit chained up with limited access to food and water. Those dumped on back roads to become someone else problem. We believe in not only helping the animals but educating the public and the community on how to do better. Alongside the Saving Hope Foundation we promote and believe in spaying and neutering all pets. We have a motto of no mom left behind, which means we go to great lengths to ensure that mom does not have to have babies again.

Based out of the Dallas-Fort Worth area, we rescue French Bulldogs from a variety of situations from shelters, owner surrenders, commercial breeders, or good Samaritans. We provide a warm home, vetting, spay and neuter, and provide the individualized care, whether medical or behavioral, these frenchies need prior to being adopted. Our goal is to find the right owner for our frenchies to ensure they are able to live a healthy and happy life in their loving home. Our Family Jacob and Tiffany fell in love with fostering French bulldogs for a local Australian Shepherd rescue. As the need for French Bulldog rescue heightened, the two conjured up the courage to create DFW French Bulldog Rescue, specializing in French Bulldogs.

Denton Animal Services operates out of the Linda McNatt Animal Care and Adoption Center, located at 3717 N. Elm. The shelter opened in February 2015, thanks to the efforts of the Denton Animal Support Foundation (DASF), who raised $2 million to help fund construction of the facility. On Nov. 7, 2023, voters approved Proposition D of the 2023 Bond Package, including funding for the expansion of the Linda McNatt Animal Care & Adoption Center. The expansion project will improve the overall shelter environment and capacity to meet the growing community and animal needs. The shelter is consistently at capacity for animals, resulting in periods where over 100+ animals are on a waiting list for a place at the shelter. By 2030, animal intake is projected to increase by 38%. The expansion will create additional space for animals, improve functionality, increase housing areas, and promote shelter disease prevention. The Linda McNatt Animal Care & Adoption Center includes a vet clinic, care areas, and an adoption center. As a municipal shelter, Denton Animal Services must accept all animals surrendered by residents, regardless of breed or condition. The shelter must also accept animals rescued as stray or abandoned, and those seized for abuse or neglect.

Mutts & Mittens was born when two people decided to follow their hearts and help those without a voice. We take the abandoned, abused and forgotten mutts and mittens, mend their physical wounds and heal their broken souls. We teach these precious creatures how to trust again and give them a new beginning. Through education, dedication and tons of love our goal is to end the suffering and loneliness…one at a time until they all have a home. Bill Myers and Juanita Myers have different backgrounds with different forte’s, but we have one thing in common: our love and dedication to these dogs and cats. Together we represent a driving force to help these creatures that love us unconditionally despite what happens to them. From the moment we lay hands on an animal we start the rehabilitation process. Whether they come to us fully vetted or flea ridden, mangy, sick or injured, our protocol starts with a full vet check and proper medication. Once they are feeling better we begin socialization and basic training while we look for the perfect fit for them. Mutts & Mittens is currently foster based, but we hope to have a physical location soon. Currently we work with animals in the DFW metroplex area as well as Weatherford, Hudson Oaks and Aledo. For more information please email us at info@muttsandmittens.org.

Born as a husband and wife endeavor, Code Red Animal Project is a labor of love. In the summer of 2022, in light of the steep increase in shelter intakes at Fort Worth area shelters, Jyl and Brian became prolific local fosters. They made strong ties with shelters, local fosters, animal transporters, and rescues near and far. In their experiences, it became apparent that there can never be enough hands on the deck of animal welfare, and Code Red Animal Project was born. CRAP seeks to rescue domestic animals from urgent situations: code red and last call shelter lists, owner surrenders, and community rescues, giving these "urgent" animals the time, space and resources to decompress, heal, socialize, and develop the skills to be successful in their forever homes. CRAP matches our adoptable animals to loving families, and facilitates their transport to their homes. We strive to make a positive change in all of our pursuits and inspire others along the way. PHILOSOPHY At Code Red Animal Project, animals come first. Each animal under our care is an individual, and there is no time limit on their stay with us. We are willing to work with behavioral and medical conditions, and often take in animals that have been overlooked or mislabeled. Our greatest assets in serving these animas is our teamwork and flexibility. We value the diverse experience, areas of expertise, and opinions of our collaborators, volunteers, and team members. There is strength in numbers, and with community as our pillar, we hope to positively impact animal welfare in Fort Worth, TX, and beyond. EQUITY STATEMENT At Code Red Animal Project Inc's core is the pillar of collaboration and inclusivity. We see the beauty and value of each living being, and promote a culture of respect, kindness, dignity and love. Inclusivity drives our success and we value the unique strengths and identity of community of volunteers, fosters, and supporters. As such, we expect all Code Red Animal Project Inc. representatives to treat others with respect, dignity and love, regardless of their beliefs, identities or choices. This extends to our board members, volunteers, fosters, networkers, and anyone who chooses to align with our mission. We recognize that differences in age, gender, race, sexual orientation, nationality, physical ability, thinking style, and background are the unique differences that contribute to the success of our rescue organization. Just as we help animals in need, regardless of their breed, we welcome all partners, volunteers and adopters whose energy aligns with our mission. The spirit of connection and inclusion drive increased creativity and meaningful impact in the communities we serve.

ABTRR is a 501(c)3 non-profit rescue organization. We are a small, dedicated group of Boston Terrier-loving volunteers based in North Texas who stay busy rescuing, training, rehabilitating, transporting, vetting, coordinating and fundraising - all for the love of our chosen breed, the Boston Terrier. What We Do All Bostons in the ABTRR Foster Program are thoroughly vetted, heartworm tested, spayed/neutered (if medically appropriate), neurologically assessed, microchipped, and vaccinated (if medically appropriate). We will not turn away a Senior or Special Needs Boston as long as we have available foster space. All Bostons deserve a loving home. We are unable to accept dogs that exhibit human or dog aggression. Please note that the adoption process begins with an adoption application followed by reference checks, personal interview, and a home visit. Incomplete applications will not be considered. We are not a shelter and do not have visiting hours. All dogs in the ABTRR Foster Program are fostered in loving private homes. All adoptions require an adoption donation to help offset the cost of vetting and proper nutrition while the dog is in our care. All donations are applied to caring for the Boston Terriers in our rescue group.

Once your application is received, we will conduct a thorough screening process which includes a vet check of your current pets and a phone screen/interview by one of our adoption coordinators. If you rent a house or live in an apartment, we will verify huskies are accepted with the landlord/management company. Security deposits are the responsibility of the adopter. After your vet check and screenings are completed successfully, TXHR will conduct a fence/home check. This is a check for gaps, broken slats, holes, compromised spots, etc where a husky could escape. As a result of COVID-19 safety precautions, photo documentation is acceptable. Upon successful completion of the application process, a TXHR adoption counselor will set up a meet and greet with you and your matched husky. Once you determine you would like to adopt the husky, you must sign an adoption contract and pay the adoption fee before taking possession of the husky. All adoptions start with a 5 day trial period to ensure the husky is a good fit in your home and lifestyle.
