I want to start by saying—Nancy is one of the most welcoming hosts ever! She messaged us ahead of time to make sure everything would be set up, then checked in again right before our visit to confirm. That extra layer of communication meant so much, especially when you have an anxious girl dog and live in a constant state of “is everything okay?” We brought our two dogs—a Catahoula with energy to spare and a laid-back Potcake who pretends she’s too cool for water. My Catahoula lost his mind (in the best way) over the splash pad add-on. He was galloping around like he just discovered joy for the first time. The space is split into two awesome zones. The first had obstacles, toys, and thoughtful extras like bug spray (a lifesaver). Both dogs spent ages splashing around—even my water-averse girl couldn’t resist joining in. The second area is a giant open field, ideal for running wild and playing fetch. My girl dog took it upon herself to train for the Ball Olympics and honestly, she might qualify. We also added on the bath after playtime, and it was perfect. There was a tub that comfortably fit my 80-pound boy, plus a variety of shampoos and plenty of towels. Both dogs hopped in on their own like it was part of the spa package. I’m not saying they asked for cucumber water, but the vibe was there. Leaving was the hardest part. We had to practically bribe them away—they kept looking back at the splash pad, then the toy bin, then the tub, like “you sure we’re done here?” If my dogs could talk, I’m 99% sure the first thing they’d say is “So… when are we going back?”

This is a beautiful spot! It was a peaceful oasis for not only the dogs but us! Nancy was so kind and had everything we could possibly need. Easy to access and comfy chairs to hang out in.

This was my first time using Sniffspot, and I couldn’t have asked for a better introduction. The space was clean, well set up, and clearly cared for. The owners were incredibly sweet and communicated quickly and kindly throughout. Watching my older pup run around like a puppy again made the whole experience so special. I only wish I had found this place—and Sniffspot—sooner. Highly recommend!

Very peaceful and ran into no problems. I have a very reactive dog and that is always a concern. We did not run into any problems and the area was secure

Second time renting The Back40. My pups love running and playing freely. Love watching my German Shepard girl playing in the splash pad. Miss Nancy always has everything we would need for our play time. Looking forward to booking more!

I can’t recommend this location enough! It is a great location with a TON of space for dogs to run and sniff and just relax. It was very quiet and relaxing with tons of shade as well! My pup had the best time doing her fastest running and being able to roll around in the grass. We will definitely be back!

Nancy is a great host and her property is large with lots of shade. The Back 40 includes the backyard and the very large lot beyond that. Winston and Phoebe had a great time and came home tired. This was our 2nd visit here. The 1st time we only reserved the backyard. We will be back!

Really loved this spot! Huge area for the dogs to run. Plenty of shade. Secure gated entry and two section to play in. Host was very proactive in keeping us informed of Sniffspot condition due to rain.

Very clean, quiet, and lots of shade - perfect spot for the summer! The fence was secure, and the owner had a place to dispose of poop bags, some extra toys, hand sanitizer/bug spray, a bowl of water, and some equipment like tubes and platforms for dogs to play on. My dog does not have a yard of his own, so he absolutely loved it. The owner was also very communicative. Overall a great experience.

First timers and will definitely be doing this more often. The Back 40 was awesome space for me and the pups to have a great Sunday. Nancy had all things ready for us and just being able to start having fun right away. Love that this is a thing. Dogs were safe inside the high fenced yard!

Omg my dogs absolutely lovee the place!!! Ita huge and has all amenities you could think of, from toys, bugs spray, water bowls, even the splashpad wow we will be regulars!! Nancy is great with communication and takes care of even a welcoming sign for my lilo and stitch♥️🐶

This spot was PERFECT for my pups and a beautiful space with lots of shade! We loved the open space and it was stocked with toys and essentials for myself and my dogs.

Wow! Very impressed. This is my first time to use this service. Everything was perfect! The photos of this place doesn’t do it justice. Everything was perfect from the welcome sign to water bowls, skeeter spray and toys. Large trees, comfortable chairs. The sign out front (Sniffspot) was a big help. Can’t say enough good things about the Back 40 and this service. We will be back.

We loved visiting the Back 40! Our sweet boy Argo had the best time frolicking in the large grass area and loved the splash pad that was out there. It was such a convenience having a bath set up at this sniff spot too. Nancy was absolutely wonderful to communicate with! She even let me know that we had left some of our dog’s ear wash at their place and arranged for me to pick it up. We will definitely be back!
