The primary space for my medium sized, high energy dogs to really run is the field behind the barn. They also loved sniffing around the yard behind the house and the taller grass area closer to the barn.
There are neighborhood dogs who bark and are sometimes visible, so it's not a great spot for a super reactive dog, but I was able to easily manage my girls and move them around away from the distractions.
If your dog is a runner or doesn't have a reliable recall, I would definitely recommend a long line as the property is proximate to a pretty busy road and a neighborhood.
We got to meet Mindy and her husband and they were very nice. They were kind enough to keep their chickens put up for us as I'm sure my girls would love to chase the birds.
