FYI 50 ft x 100 ft fully fenced. Remaining acreage is unfenced. Below are instructions of where to park and how to get to the variety of play areas. We enjoy our peaceful, scenic, 3 acres with our Doberman Piper. We are 35 minutes from Fremont Bridge, in Hwy 30. I participate in dog sports and enjoy taking Piper with me as much as able. I thought others may enjoy our property with their dog as much as we do with ours. As you pull off Columbia River Hwy (hwy 30) towards the Warren Country Inn restaurant (56575 Columbia river hwy, warren, Or 97053) stay left towards the guard rail. You will see a dead-end road sign with a Sniffspot sign underneath it. This is our driveway. Follow and stay left up the hill past the barn & past the goats. Our property has the 2-story gold house on it. You will see on your left a green sign with our address 56441. You will park on your right, by the Sniffspot parking sign. This unfenced, large, mowed field to the right is yours to enjoy and is only part of the 3 acres you get to play in. Straight ahead, towards the 2-car garage, there is a picnic table under the trees. Feel free to use this. Dogs love to jump on it. Look to the far right and you will see a 6-foot chain link fence. Walk across the field and the entrance is to your left. Just follow the chain link fence to left for the gate. Inside of this area is a fully fenced, 5 to 6 feet tall area to train or play. This area is about 100 ft by 50 ft wide. Inside of the chain link area is an agility jump, large container of chuck its, tugs, other toys and orange cones for dog training. There is also a water bowl with water that will be cleaned between guests. When it is hot out, I will have a kiddie pool with water so your dogs can cool down. There are 2 chairs to sit in when in the fenced area. Feel free to bring whatever you would like to play with to the big grass field area to enjoy. We would appreciate it if you can put it back inside the fenced area when you are finished with the items. If you continue to the left of the chain link entrance, you will see several steps down to the seasonal stream. It’s either a pond or a stream, depending on if the beavers damn it or the damn breaks. Feel free to let your dog explore this area. The mud is soft. During the summer, its more on the dry side. From the steam continue to the left and follow the stream. When you get to the tall trees straight ahead there will be a box of poop bags, next to the seasonal stream. Our neighbor’s property is behind these bags on the right in the green house. So go left up the hill towards the orchard. Feel free to pick a couple apples during the fall. This will get you to the front, by the picnic table and you will be able to see your car from the top of the orchard. Unfortunately, there are no restrooms on site, however as you will see the Warren Country inn is right by our home. You can go there during business hours to use their bathroom. Or grab something to go to eat on our picnic table. We have an added attraction of moles. My Dobie loves trying to find them. Beware of holes that we may have missed filling in between guests. We do have a variety of unknown mushrooms growing during autumn and some other wet months. If the ball or toy goes over the fence to our neighbor’s yard, just leave it there. Don’t go and get it. We will get later. Please pick up after yourself and your dog. No smoking or vaping please. No drugs or alcohol. Please no glass

Nature in the City is a unique Private Dog Park that is 1 1/2 acres of beautiful natural land with varied landscapes. Step out of the city and into our nature park-like setting that features different areas including 2 grassy fields perfect for fetch w/discs, ropes, or toys, (balls are not best here due to all of the surrounding bushes), a couple of forested areas, several nature trails for hiking adventures, and a wetland-like area with a healthy little creek that’s a hit with the pups. They can wade, cool off, and drink from the natural water. Your dogs will have so many different sniffing and secure off-leash exploring opportunities here! Our spot is so much more than just a fenced field! The area is diverse and so much fun for your dog(s)! This is a great spot to work on recall. There are a couple areas on some of the trails that are a little steep, so people with limited mobility may have issues in these areas of the spot. There are plenty of spaces and trails that are suitable for all abilities. There are three small bridges over the creek, (located at the East end, middle, and West end). If you’re looking for a basic fenced field to play chuck-it then this probably isn’t your spot. We are continually working on our property, so every time you visit you will see improvements! We provide a rain/sun shelter with 4 foldable chairs (message us in advance if you need more chairs and we’ll put them out for you), and lots of supplies including dog toys & balls, poop bags, hand sanitizer, natural bug spray, sunscreen, wipes, hand towels, first aid kit, and a cornhole yard game. We also provide snacks and beverages for humans and doggos! Located outside are 2 zero-gravity reclining chairs, a kids size picnic table, a round metal outdoor table w/umbrella & 4 metal chairs, and fresh drinking water for your pups. There are open areas with sun ☀️, and there is shade all day due to many large trees. Our property is VERY secure with 5 to 6 ft fencing. We walk the fence line regularly and check to make sure it’s secure. We are located close-in on the Westside of Vancouver one mile from I-5 on 78th Street in West Hazel Dell near Felida. *It gets muddy in areas when it has been wet/raining outside. We have wood chips along trails and in muddy areas which help a lot! Come prepared so you enjoy your visit. **We have night lighting! There’s 6 solar flood lights in the main field area for those of you who want/need to visit after dark. They provide subtle light at the entryway, main field, and the shelter for about 4-5 hrs after it gets dark outside. If you want to explore the trails after dark we recommend putting a collar light on your dog(s), and that you bring headlamps and flashlights 🔦. ***Seasonal Alert 🚨- It’s baby bunny 🐰 season March-September. They usually hide pretty well, but if your dog finds a bunny nest please cover it back up, and if a baby wanders out please put it back and redirect your dog(s). Baby bunnies have no scent to protect them from predators so even the best sniffers won’t smell the nests/bunnies. They would only notice the babies if they see them. We are a farm animal sanctuary and wildlife friendly. There may be long grass, insects, farm animal poo and other farmy stuff. Fun smell things such as feathers, wool, horse hair etc is added for dogs to sniff. All is cruelty free. WINTER: Seasonal pond takes up the lower portion of the spot. Sauvie Island Farm shady acres is a fully fenced area in the back of our farm, cool and shady for these summer days. Plenty of sniffs, eagles, rabbits, deer, and other wildlife. Great views. Private. Some farm machinery and active farm fields will be visible. It is accessed by a drive through the fields that can be a bit bumpy, but does not require 4WD. Hiking shoes or hiking boots are best here. The first time we will escort you on the ‘farm road’ back to the spot.

Heads Up for Airshow Weekend: May 16–18 A quick heads-up that the local Airshow will be taking place Friday through Sunday, May 16th–18th. That means incredibly loud jets will be flying overhead throughout the weekend. The noise can be very intense and scary for some dogs (and even humans—earplugs recommended!). If your pup is noise-sensitive or reactive to sudden, loud sounds, this will not be the best time to visit. Even humans may want to bring earplugs. This is my personal yard and is probably between 800-1000 square feet. It’s all grass as of right now but we are in the process of adding cement tiles and planting a tree in the middle of the yard soon.
